What's the point of these two pets? I know you can Enslave them, but I just don't see what they're good for. A Felguard seems twice as good as either of them, but obviously Blizzard intended them to be some kind of pets for Warlocks. Are there any 'locks that use these things with any regularity? I've seen a few PvP videos with the lock using the Infernal, but never the Doomguard.

Points? Anecdotes? Anybody?

Neither is commonly used, in my experience, except for trolling starter towns. (AGGH, I'm being attacked by an infernal!)

With the advent of the Felguard as a 41pt talent for warlocks, they're essentially useless in every way, though I'd assume one or two boss fights for some instance I'm unaware of would find one or the other somehow useful.

(summary: They're useless, except for flavor.)

In almost every case that you might want to use one, an enslaved demon from the instance you're in is better.

Doomguards, esp if you're demo, will WRECK hard. But, they're annoying to get and if it gets unenslaved, it will turn it's wrecking from your enemies to your face, unless a tank is there to pick it up.

Either way, more for fun than any real use.

Unless they nerfed this, you can use doomguards to kill friendlies. Which is always fun.
