Heres my submission for the november mapping contest.
Its another 2 player map on jungle terrain.
Theres a large plateau in the middle and mostly empty space around it. I havent thought of anything to fill it up with yet, so i just added rocky terrain and doodads.

very interesting and nice map but it needs a crapload of more detail and nicer terrain. pure dirt and mud is just boring.

Isn't it a little uncreative to just put the same doodads in the same spot on the exact opposite side of the map?

I actually really really like this map. Pretty it up a bit with some superficial dirt->grass or dirt-> mud changes and you're golden.

Yeah, I suspose it is. But most of the doodads that are mirrored are different types of the same doodad, so they are not exactly the same.
I added in some jungle terrain and moved the doodads around a bit.
Besides the aesthetics, is there anything wrong with the balance of the map?

decorate the middle hill more.

also. Since the entrance to natural and the entrance from the natural to other parts are very very wide, it's very hard to defend it kinda.. Okay so, the entrance to the natural can be like it is, it just means that this becomes a fast expo map for P kinda like longinus. However, if you want a wider variety of games on this map, make the entrances between nats/mains narrower. I'd say around the width of a pylon, or just a tad wider. That makes the entrance more easily blockable.

also, the entrance from the natural to other parts of the map is very very wide and due to the rocky ground its even harder to defend. I suggest that you make the rocky ground next to the cliff wall unaccessible high dirt. This way it'd be easier to defend, yet the entrance would be wide enough to make rushes well possible.

When it comes to balance, I think Ahzz about covered it.

As for aesthetics, here's what I suggest.
-much more jungle in the middle and scattered ruins mixed with it
-make one main with dirt in it, the other with grass to add a little unique touch to it
-do the same to the rocky ground/grass areas, turn one into rocky ground/mud

Aside from a little aesthetic improvement, the middle area with all the min blocks and neutral buildings is all I don't like...all the min blocks just look weird and the generators are kinda random. That aside, this is a good and solid map, best you've made to-date. Congrats!

Do you mean that the generators dont flow with the decoration of the map, or do you mean they just dont look right?

For this update I added in some ruins in the middle and added in some more jungle terrain. I replaced the rocky ground near the naturals with cliffs. Moved some doodads a bit.

Still looks a bit plain. More doodads around the flat areas would make it better. Add more variety to the terrain still.

Added some more trees and other doodads.
You probably cant see it in the picture, but theres a bunch of those tiny grass and shrub doodads.

Yep, I'd say this map's about done. Deco's looking great now.
