DL maps?

can someone plz tell me where i have to go to download maps from the internet? and not while playing sc....this guy said u could do that here...

Go to StarCraft.org for a lot of maps. Then go to the SCUM Center.

The solution King_Templar posted is the 1 I'd go 4. Or if u wanna see other places, try searching 4 StarCraft maps on Google(.com). If u want 2 try something different, like a mod (map and/or application that changes SC properties / units in2 something new) I also advise u 2 try out SC.org. Or other sites, like the following:

It has quite a good storage on mods... 4 maps I'm not sure, since I do most of my SC map dl's at StarCraft.org (same as SC.org)!

erm... thats where your wrong, a mod is never a map, theres a big difference. a mod, is an executable file (or sometimes in MPQ format) that changes the game properties of SC, from anything to basic stat changes, to graphic changes, etc. It loads SC applying the changes that you put into your MPQ.

sometimes people insert mods into the MPQ archives of map files to put them up here, (since .exe isnt a viable file extension) but thats different.
