What's your favorite thing to do on the 4th of July?

I like to invite my church, all my friends, neighbors, and even my brothers friends over, make a campfire, barbeque, and best of all, lead the fireworks explosion competition!

hmm... i just sit around to watch the fireworks usually seeing as how fireworks in private posession are illegal in iowa. (although sometimes my firiends go to minesota and get bottle rockets, hehe)

Anyway, for the 4th I usually just watch fireworks from my front yard (or from the roof if the trees are in the way).

In Hawaii fireworks are legal (you have to buy a permit for firecrackers) but you can only do them until about 9:00 PM. (it gets dark around 7:30 during the summer here) New Years is way better.

the 4th of July celebrates America's independence, it is our 'Independence Day'.

I shall travel back in time 3 days, go to the lake, celebrate my mom's birthday, and watch some fireworks. I will then proceed to rant and rave about how the US has independance day on the wrong day and say that we should break off all relations. I will then travel to Radlin's house, as I return to the town of Canada. :p

Why don't you go back to the 1800s and change Canada Day to the 4th? U.S. Independence Day happened much before Dominion Day. :p

Get a bunch of fireworks in Pennsylvania, and set them all off at Connesus Lake at the "Ring of Fire" event, along with almost every cottage on the lake.

Oh man, I had so much fun. We had so many fireworks and mortars and fountains and stuff. I just got back. Wow, that was so fun. Also there was some loser who pissed us off (There were around 40 kids there), so we shot him with a bottle rocket. But it didn't really hurt him, only scared him.

Well, I just saw what will probably be the last fireworks show in my town for a while. Stupid organizers didn't do their fundraising properly and ended up in the hole. Anyway, we actually had a grand finale this year. Last year, they just fired off a few rounds of fireworks three at a time and called it a finale, and it was so lame.

Anyway, I was at a party until around 11 and then came home to discover a re-run of the 9/11 memorial from the National Cathedral. It was a decent ceremony, although not nearly as meaningful as the first time around.
