Okies... Heres the completed version of my new map: RPG - Battle4Soria However i will b altering and adding new things such as a potion system, extras and stuff...

History:
v0.1-0.6 Betas... testing etc
v1.0 first final release
v1.1 made ling stronger, changed money from 12 to 5 per 25 kill points
v1.2 goon stronger, money = 9/25, observers now = science vessel
v1.3 fixed the third barrier bug & general can't exit base.

Enjoy! And plz leave your thoughts: plz post any bugs that you find. And finally ways to improve and things you most enjoyed.

detailing of terrain is going to be worked on next

One last thing: StarForge messed with the text colors... so sometimes it doesn't look that great but hey... it looked good in SCEX :D

Lack of interest is causing me major distress :( ... just remember if you help you get added to the list of testers!

I played this in single player, so some of the balance issues will probably vanish when in a team mentality.

Here are the bugs/problems/rough edges that I found:
- Briefing doesn't have an "I'm done! Start the game!" Message
- The civies shouldn't be killed when they are no longer needed, but removed
- You should make use of the mission objectives
- In the case of multiple lines of text, only the first line is colored. The rest is that SC default light blue color
- I should be teleported either to the beacon or right in front of the beacon when I am done with a building, not to the town entrance
- Whenever I enter an upgrade store, I get the civie and then have to choose whether or not to enter the upgrade store. You could speed up the upgrading process if you make it where you get control over the upgrade buildings if you step on the beacon instead of confirming that you want to upgrade
- I think there should be people to talk to in town, besides the King and Jester
- Whenever I leave a building I am given a welcome back message to the town, when in actuality I never left
- As soon as we enter a town we should have full view of it
- The selection civie should be invincible, it looks better
- I've found the upgrades to be too inexpensive, too quick to get lots of upgrades
- The castle should be bigger, and have units as the King and Jester instead of beacons
- The enemy spawns too quickly. This has two problems
1. Attack moving doesn't work too well, because your unit is tied to the spawn point, fighting people as soon as they are spawned
2. Exploration is discouraged when all a unit has to do is stand in one place for quick, easy cash
- There should either be a delay before entering buildings/activating the help or they should be more out of the way. I accidentally stepped on a few beacons and had to exit the buildings before I could be on my way
- Once I bought the Terran town, the inn stopped working. I could enter it, but moving the civie to the "Yes" beacon did not heal me. I was afraid of the same thing happening in the Zerg town, so I didn't buy the town
- I also can't enter the castle as soon as I buy the town either, despite that I wanted to know what the Jester had said about the secret cave (I found it anyway)
- Only my hero should be moved (or no units at all) when the help is engaged. My SCV and Zergling were moved around when I accidentally started the help tutorial again, and my SCV kept being too close to the beacons and going in the buildings.
- It would be more realistic if you had to return to the king to get paid, unless he's wiring the money into my account :)
- Why, whenever I build a building, does it start out damaged?
- Some Terran buildings allow me to build add-ons (Command Center) and units (Starport) whose prices aren't consistent with the overall pricing scheme of the map. Am I intended to be able to build them?
- My SCV managed to steal the help box. I showed it around to other monsters and, try as I could, I couldn't teach any of them how to play the game :)
- You might consider only allowing heroes to enter buildings. I had various oddities like selection civies
- Whenever I enter a building, every unit in town or close to it gets pulled into the building. I don't see why
- When I entered the worm hole right in the middle of the left side of the map and gave it its tribute, I was spat out at the worm hole at the lower right
- The Jester in the Protoss town says to give the worms $10,000, when the figure is $1,000
- I think the contents of the buildings should be in town, instead of at the bottom of the map. It would speed things up and cut back on the amount of center views.
- Giving medics infinite mana (it might have been enabled for all of my units, but medics were the only units I bought that had infinite mana) definitely might give me too much power, as 2 medics, a lot of armor, and a little micromanaging (to make sure my hero is getting shot and not the medics) virtually guarantee me to be invincible.
- Once I bought the Terran town, I could explore the map with the lift-able Terran buildings. Did you intend for that?
- The roadblock to the Protoss town is never removed. I couldn't go any further because of it (I had been teleported to that area earlier by the worm hole error that I told you about, but I think a bug with entering buildings made my hero be teleported back to the Zerg town. I can't quite remember how it happened)
- When I enter the life force stage, it says something like "this isn't like that other life force stage, when..." That was my first life force stage and I didn't come across another one afterwards

EDIT: Fark, you posted a new version. I'm sure you fixed some of these already, just read the ones you didn't fix, I guess.

I dont think I found as many bugs as Edvardmunch (mostly because I was banned).

The briefing seemed to go a little fast, I think it needs a little work/story.
The marins seem a little strong
Computer should have shared vision
All I could say untill I lifted the science facility ^^

I'm almost certain he means the allied computer should have shared vision, though that means you'll be able to find and see cities you haven't gotten to yet...

I think i only found two that wasnt already mentioned... one very small and one very large. One of the Photon cannons in the protoss base is unpowered, but im not sure that matter anyway. Whne you are making your way through the enemies tower, when trying to go to the second stage... it just keeps centering the view and saying you cant go back. Nothing else happens.

I have lost all my computer files in an unfortunate accident... i no longer have an unprotected version of this map (or one with any of the changes i've made since the last version) i would like to eventually get back to it, but i would need someones help in opening it... it is protected with starforge...

One of the Admins or Mods has an unprotecter program, perhaps they could use it and then post your map back up?
