I'd keep the old races to preserve continuity. I'd add a new race playability (Xel-Naga? Hybrids?) to the storyline and maybe UMS for interest, if it wasn't too much work, but for standard multiplayer I'd keep the original three to keep balance relatively possible. Replacing one of the old playable races with one of the new ones would be a possibility, but unlikely to make fans happy.

I let this slide because Ithought it would spur some kind of conversation. Clearly I was mistaken and this has managed to find the line of what people can tolerate, something even thor had trouble with.
