View Full Version : What is your favorite new SC2 Unit? (No mothership/thor discussion)

This question means.. Favorite new unit as in new to the SC universe (not in SC1).

My favorite new unit so far is easily the Banshee. I think it is like a Valkyrie for the ground (which looks awesome). I can't wait to play with this unit.

Colossus. It's really cool, and feels like a real Protoss unit. I can imagine it being an imporant new element in Protoss tactics, and it's attack / design is well worked out.

You know how after you click on the same unit alot, it says hidden dialouge in SC1. I bet there will be at least one line about transformers in the viking's hidden speech.
Stalker is just plain cool though

Banshee - the closes thing to it in #1 is mutalisk, because it's the only quick-tech air you get to make a quick ground harassment. And obviously it's not nearly as good at it as the banshee will be. I've seen great early wraith harassment and thought 'wow, if only they were specialized ground attackers.'

Immortal, teleporting ranged attacker will be very nice to use.

...you mean the Stalker, right? The Immortal is the one with the hardened shield.

For me? I guess I'd have to go with... yeah, the Banshee.

It's close, but I really like the Phoenix. It's like the Corsair's bad-ass-ness, plus ground attack, taken to a whole new level with the overload. A good day to die indeed.

I'd have to say reaper. It's like siege tanks without out actually alerting the player until all your cc is demolished.

I'm actually looking forward to the immortal. Dragoons were incredible units- the backbone of the protoss army. It seems to me that I'll be getting alot of use out of immortals, especially with their hardened shield upgrade.

I am just looking forward to using them in every way possible.

Somebody forgot about the Phase Prism... (and it's surprise dropping capabilities.) :P *Fixes, winking*

I'll vote for the Stalker 1st, mainly 'cause used to be a 'Tossie and next the Reaper, shortly followed by the Colossus and then by the Viking. In case you haven't noticed I enjoyed a lot of harass, stealth n' surprise tactics. :)

Well.... I like most of the protoss units and i dislike most of the terran units even now. Mauby thats why i'm a protoss player in sc.
Especially a combo of zealots, immortals, colossi and motherships woohooo, its like watching a new years fire show.

Though really I would vote phase prism if going for tactice, phase prisms enable so much the protoss can do.

I purposefully didn't put the Phase Prism in the poll. I don't understand who would vote for a non-attack unit that is basically a transport or energy-provider to buildings. It is kind of annoying that an admin changed it just because they can.:mad2:

He has a point. I mean, medics are totally useless. So are DA's and HT's.

Hell, carriers dont actually attack either, and nobody likes them.

the carrier one doesn't really work. cuz it sort of does attack.


the most useless unit ever is the observer all it does is detects.. it can't even get killed properly since it's cloaked

I like the new charge ability for Zealots...although I would NOT trade it for the leg enhancements.

Banshee is nice too. Hit and run!

Reaper too, for similar reasons.

Bashees are more than nice, they ARE SWAZI (ryhmes with Nazi) SWEEET!
