I need help with sc map editor and dls

im new here and all and i hope you guys can help me out.
i love star craft and all but i want to start making my own maps and i need help
like i wanted to know how do i make defense maps with heros and what not
and i need help with another thing i cant dl map helpers and mods i says it cant read path correctly or it cant open it and i was wondering why my puter ia a emachines xp and its good and all but i cant do what i want on it
and how do i get pictures to post from sc as my aviatar thingy?

Uhh welcome I think? It took me a while to read that¿

Make sure you install other programs into your SC directory if you changed the default path. Also some editors require other files that need to be installes, they will usually inform you of this.

Some mods are saved in mpq format, to use them you will need to download a program like MPQcompactor.

If all else fails try reinstalling SC ans patching it up.

Take a look at the starcraft editing refrencing thread for tools and starcraft.org for some tutorials.
