They have a search database on almost anything you need help with. They also have mapping lessons and topics. If it wasn't for this site, I never would've even started a map, let alone finish one. ;)

Happy mapmaking. ^^

Heh. The UnrealEditor is a bit hard to pick up on...being why I haven't figured it out yet...

Anyway, thanks for the link Carny!

It's pretty easy to use once you understand how to use it (I know Static Meshes, textures, emitters, etc.), but it's just hard trying to figure out how to put your idea into 3D, because you visualize it one way, but then end up getting a crappy map in the end.

P.S. the stuff is actually easy, and once you learn it you pretty much never forget it ;) (it just takes countless hours watching videos  )

P.S. I may start trying again, also DO NOT expect it to only take 1 day (like most SC Terrain maps do), it'll most likely take weeks or months to make a truly "great" map.

It takes me weeks or months to make a truly great starcraft map.

Heh...depends on your definition of "great." j/k

If you count start time to finish (which hasn't come yet), I've been working on my SC campaign for three years. Of course...it's more like I started it then left off for three years and picked it up again last week...

If I didn't take breaks I could make maps in a week.

I made Arena Wars final in about 2 weeks, fixed all the bugs and changed things ;). I was happy with the results of my first map :D.

My name WOULD be bluemicrobyte, but my brother plays too and it's too hard to change the screen name ever time, so we go by Dude_Guy
