View Full Version : Six things that Starcraft 2 needs to have.

I've grown up with Starcraft, playing since it first came out back in 1998. I just wanted to put a few ideas down onto paper.

1) Allow for voice chat. With the high speed internet we have today, many games have online voice chat and I would love to see it in Starcraft 2.
2) Allow for resource sharing.
3) Without actually effecting a units capabilities, allow units to gain structural damage from attacks. Wouldn't it be cool to see a Battle Cruiser having big chunks of metal blasted off from it's body?
4) Leave the unit movement path untouched. Having the units move in a straight line works perfectly in my opinion and it also adds an element of strategy.
5) For the love of God, provide the units with a fast response time. Make their actions "quick" and "precise." I don't want to be playing with chunky, large 3D units that can't be micromanaged.
6) Cinematic scenes! Blizzard is renowned for their in game movies, and I am really looking forward to seeing many large and epic cinematic scenes.

phail.. You obviously haven't been kept up with the karune announcements.
1) Already done
2) Already done
3) Aesthetics you can trust blizzard with
4) Out of all the little do and don't you chose this one?
5) It's called latency, it's there because you lag
6) DUH??

Lesson: Look around at other threads that are designated for this..

Epic fail.

I agree with Titanwing.

If you would have looked around a little longer, you would've noticed.
But you got only one post. The one in here. I suppose this is also the last we see from you? You didn't even go to the ML for a intro post, something nearly everybody does.

By popular demand.

Blitzkrieg, your input is appreciated, but it would be more appreciated had you actually put some more thought into your thread. Several of these "needed" items were either just plain obvious, or irrelevant.

The others were easily answered with a quick glance towards our FAQ & Resource Thread. (http://www.warboards.org/showthread.php?t=28772)

Either way, welcome to WarBoards.
