I used to have two monitors, so my desktop was really efficient. Windows Task Manager (Performance tab), AIM, and Media player were all on my secondary monitor. About a week ago, it started to fail, and is unusable now. I'm still getting used to this single monitor stuff. Here's the screenshot:

That image is reduced in size to fit the screen. I use a resolution of 1152x864 for my desktop to fit my 19" monitor. It also seems like Black.Ice is the only one besides me who knows how to use compression methods efficiently.

All my desktop links are found on the ObjectDock tabs on either side of the screen and the dock in the center.

edit: Most of the skins for WindowBlinds (especially those at Wincustomize, ugh) are very sub-par. For awesomely professional skins, check out the Visual Styles located at gfxoasis, neowin, and DeviantArt. Some of them are mighty tasty. :D And you can use Visual Styles without any program (just double click the .msstyles). Further skinning can be done with the use of programs such as StyleXP and ObjectDock.

No real need to post mine, mcflurry_1982 has the same exact background as me. But think of that, with about half the screen covered by messy groups of icons and folders, most of which I never use. My start menu's pretty messy, and I only have about 10 shortcut buttons on the bottom. I stick with the classic win2k look, grey and blue. I seriously need to start organizing my stuff.

Hey ZDS - I like the mac look. It's much nicer than luna... (Though many visual styles are far far better than same old mac skins)... However, your mac look is a little non-mac-y... no REAL mac looks like that...
Here's some suggestions (you're not looking for them, I know; I'd still like to help a man out when I can though...):

WB 4.3 uses: 320k Memory (I changed the theme since last time I checked)

There is no way WB took up 200megs of memory. Its not Doom 3. 500,000k memory is like 500megs. Wtf are you smoking? Warcraft III doesnt even take up that much for me.

To tell you the truth, according to all tests and stuff, windowblinds is much much faster than visual styles.

You have to press Prt Scrn which copies the image of your desktop to your clipboard. Then, go into a image editing program such as Photoshop or even Microsoft Paint, and press CTRL+V. Then save, upload, and post.

Hold up. You're a mod here (or some staff member)... why are you mocking other members? I mean, your desktops aren't great either. Clashing colors and horrible windowblinds skins define your desktop. It's his desktop and whatever suits his taste, he keeps on his desktop.

Seriously, I could make fun of approximately 95% of the desktops here because they are really eyesores. Simple is sexy. Agreed :) I have no icons on my desktop. Because everybody always asks me where all my stuff is, here's a shot showing the main start menu as well. I lowered the resolution for the shot... normally the start menu doesn't take up that much room on the screen.

Personally, I set up a tripod with my Canon Tri-analog 4B (4 Band, 6.4 white contrast) 14 megapixel camera. Then, I click the picture and transfer to photoshop to edit out unwanted details (i.e. desk, monitor frame, etc.)

Of course, sometimes, I have to use Adobe Dreamboat to edit on-the-go, since I might not have much tme. Usually, 1 screenshot takes me anywhere between 1-1.5 hrs. (I've gotten better with practice).

I also ask Fenguin and Semi for help sometimes (editing is tough...). Try it out! No digital camera = just take a picture, develop and scan it in!

Huh, I'm guessing you used two layers... one set at 'hue' and filled all red and one for the eyes set to screen with the circular lasso tool also filled in with red :P
