For me, the Viking. I think they should just put the Goliath in it's place.

I wouldn't get rid of the Viking, I'd just give it an air and ground attack in both forms.

Anyway, I would cut the thor because it's an overpowered siege tank used to balance with protoss (I think). They should replace it with somthing else.

Viking would be too overpowered with equal air and ground attack in both forms. Maybe a weak ground attack in air form, but apart from that....

Why UMS? You do relaise that the editor will have modding capabilities, so that you can make it not step over cliffs, right?

From looking at its potential, if that can not be worked around then it will be next to useless in UMS. I do know that there will be modability the editor, but we do not know the extent of it.

From my past experiences in modding it seems like it would be some thing hard coded. Tho *makes a few assumptions* it could be recreated as a separate unit with the same graphics and properties (that aside), tho i do not know if you could replace it in tech tree.

Well, we are talking about "axeing" - completely removing - here. Much as I dislike the Thor - which is a lot - I think it has some potential, if not exactly in its current form.

Let me make that more specific, so I don't sound like an idiot. I really like the Barrage ability, at least as a concept. The whole rest of it is pretty much redundant. Even the Barrage is, admittedly, similar to the sieged tank, but I feel like there's probably a use for it that the tank doesn't cover.

So I'm voting for (against?) the Mothership. If it's a single superunit I hate the concept in SC; if it's more than one then it's just another asdf Tossie capital. Because the Protoss don't already have two of them, or this isn't enough, or something.

I'll defend the Thor by saying it should take forever to get it. By the time someone actually techs to a Thor, the game would have had more than enough battles to give both players an equal chance at winning. It woul dthen turn into the same concept if someone was going Battlecruisers. You can obviously see what they are doing if you scout. And you can take proper precautions by countering with air, etc...

I'll defend the Thor by saying it should take forever to get it. By the time someone actually techs to a Thor, the game would have had more than enough battles to give both players an equal chance at winning. It woul dthen turn into the same concept if someone was going Battlecruisers. You can obviously see what they are doing if you scout. And you can take proper precautions by countering with air, etc...hmm is there a problem with this post? yes there is? you listed that if you see someone going bcs then you can build counters for it, but if you see someone going how are you gonna counter that? as you said, by the time they can tech to thor itll be late game and the enemy will probably already have some units to defend the thor, marines, banshees, ect. This is the main problem for the thor, it needs to be nerfed or trashed.

Judging by the videos, I would generally agree due to all the explosions going around. But how can you be so sure when the beta isn't even here yet? If I remember correctly the Thor has weak AA. So if you want to counter the Thor, go air. I know everyone sees this HUGE unit that can do massive damage, but it moves slow and it's also a HUGE target (more units can attack it at once). Besides, it's not the size that matters.. it's how you use it. :o

This isn't going to yield anything past 'Thor'.

Otherwise, it's really too hard to tell without actually seeing more of all the units or actually using them.
