With a limit of 2,000 points, make the beardiest army you can. Any race (even Squats or other races which used to be playable but are no longer playable), 40k or Fantasy, it doesn't matter.

Go!

Hmm, dont have time to do it now but, just to clarify, "Beardy" does not mean "unbeatable" right?

Just serious rules bending/abuse?

If so expect to see the WHFB 5 models tzeentch insanity on here tomorrow.

Beardy means it takes advantage of the rules and such to form a practically unbeatable army.

Yeah but it doesnt have to be ACTUALLY unbeatable right? Just nealry unbeatable and a bastard to play against.

And didnt (back in 5th ed Warhammer) White dwarf run a competition to find the most unbeatable fantasy army. It was a cheesetastic lizardman army.

It still has to playable and legal, but to qualify as 'beardy', it must be as cheesy as a 4 cheese pizza on a dairy farm in France.

Hordes Of Chaos Tzeentch Characterhammer

Lord of Chaos - Mark of Tzeentch, Staff Of Change, Golden Eye Of Tzeentch, Chaos Dragon - 800pts

Exalted Champion - Mark of Tzeentch, Halberd, Staff of Sorcery - 224pts

Exalted Champion - Mark of Tzeentch, Spell Familiar, Gaze of the Gods - 218

Chariot - Mark of Tzeentch, Carries Exalted Champion -140pts

Chariot - Mark Of Tzeentch, Carries other Exalted Champion - 140pts

Chariot - Mark Of Tzeentch - 140pts

Chariot - Mark Of Tzeentch

6 Screamers - 198pts

Total 2000 pts

Okay, there IS a way of getting it down to 4 characters in chariots, fully tooled up and another chariot to make up points but I have no idea how so I threw in a dragon for good luck (which admittedly has weakened the magical offensiveness). It isnt unbeatable if the enemy has serious artillery (which is what the screamers are for) but it is apparently a most unpleasant army.

note: you can take the land raider as a dedicated transport for chaos termies, as per the chaos terminator entry in the latest chaos codex, so I'm assuming it doesn't use a force organisation chart slot

155 Chaos Lord - Terminator armour, Daemon Weapon, Mark of Khorne

230 4x Chaos Terminators - 4x Champion, Icon of khorne, 4x twin lighting claws

240 Dedicated Land Raider - D. Possession.

280 5x Chaos Terminators - 5x Champion, Icon of khorne, 5x twin lighting claws

240 Dedicated Land Raider - D. Possession.

180 10x Chaos Space Marines - meltagun

180 10x Chaos Space Marines - meltagun

195 5x Havocs - 4x Missile launcher, Icon of Tzeentch

195 5x Havocs - 4x Missile launcher, Icon of Tzeentch

145 Vindicator - D. Possession

Total: 2000 points.

It is my first try at a cheese army, however. The havocs can take out practically anything while being safe against anything with AP3, the termies will slice, dice, and mash in combat.

I think this is right, I could be mistaken but I'm fairly sure steeds & warhounds can infiltrate, if not then it will require some reworking to speed but you get the idea. Basically, a hero with infiltrate and daemonic speed has a fairly decent chance of charging on the first turn, if they expected your strategy then it is quite likely to be second turn, in which case your 120 cultists and plague marines act as a meat sheild for or characters/havocs, sometimes your heros will act as a meat sheild for your cultists depending on what your facing. Your cultists will charge second turn usually, sheilded from light weaponery by the plague marines. Havocs will be causing a significant portion of the damage, 1 squad for 14 armour vehicles in exchange for a sqaud for massed infantry, to soften up the cross fire for the sake of the cultists, havocs are sheilded from line of sight by the cultists which can blind 20 feet of the field.
EDIT: Ah f' it, forgot to give the havocs inflitrate. 117 cultists now.

This army isn't unbeatable or unnaturally strong but it is fairly cheesy as it rewrites the gameplay. The first 2-3 turns would be damn fun then the losing side would be dead.

these will be able to take out your lances, either with frags for infantry-based, and krak for vehicle based. I did choose 'launchers for a reason.

There again, I have not seen the stats for a warlord titan in their entirety, but its got guns bigger than a very big thing, 9 structure points and if I recall correctly, 6 void shields.

Its pretty damn hard.

There again, theres a limit of 2000 points for bearding one up in this thread, so its a bit irrelavent.

I think, in the interests of sanity, we should exclude apocalypse from this thread.

It was already excluded. See the 2,000 point limit.
