Yes, I'm back, FINALLY with version 0.02 of Shadow Warz!! ok, this is the new main thread, so post what you think. everything is welcome, even if it's rather harsh, this being my first mod... ok!

For all of you who don't know, Shadow Warz is a mod that just changes all the races to be far more powerful...or at least that's my goal, there is also 1 map to go with it (so far) and does anyone wanna help debug it?

Debugging
First off, this mod is very unstable, I took the time to figure out most of the flaws just because I hate it when I post a mod and get no feedback at all. Heres what I found.
Besides having pretty wild balancing issues, most of the instability is caused by trying to use datedit (or arsenal) to add air/ground attacks to units that don't have an Iscript attack animation. Though some units happened to already have the coding needed to add in air/ground attacks that they don't originally have, most units (ie. Zealot, Vulture, High Templar, Shuttle) don't have an attack animation for air/ground. When you give them a weapon and tell them to attack anyways, it crashes starcraft. If you are interested in getting these units attacks to work, read up on Iscript editing. I like to use IceCC, because Ice annoys me, and I don't understand the pointers on it. But either one makes it pretty easy to add an attack animation. Most of all I suggest that if you are going to put any more serious time into this mod, you need to start testing each modification you make as you go along. If you change the attack for the marine, make a game, make some marines, and go attack some air and ground units to make sure that your attack works correctly, and then if it works well, move onto the next change you want to make.
Vulture Air Attack - Need to add attack to Iscript.bin = Crashes Starcraft
Science Vessel Attack - Need to add attack to Iscript.bin = Crashes Starcraft
Zealot Air Attack - Need to add attack to Iscript.bin = Crashes Starcraft
High Templar Attack - Needs attack button using Firegraph. Need to add attack to Iscript.bin = Ground attack will only work if selected with another group of units who have a functioning attack button. Air attack = Crashes Starcraft
Dark Archon Attack - Needs attack button using Firegraph and possibly some Iscript or datedit work. Ai actions in datedit need to have "Attack Unit: Attack Unit" or else it just gets close and stops.
Dragoon Attack - Attack dosn't work. Needs to be fixed with Iscript editing and datedit. Getting a suicide attack to work is a little more complicated than just giving it the weapon. You need to change the Ai settings and the Iscript for it to work correctly. Right now the Dragoon does nothing but run the attack animation.
Defilers Attack - Needs attack button using Firegraph = Unit will only attack when selected with other units who have a functioning attack button.
Flag Selection - Selecting the Flag = Crashes Starcraft. I have no clue why...
As for the parts I like! The beginning splash screen looks nice, and Some of the attacks are pretty cool too. I like the venom attack that the defiler uses, and the firebats flamethrower looks a hell of a lot cooler with the seigh splash added.

thank you! yes...that was all i needed to get going again! i'm gonna try my best to de-bug it, do a bit of *.grp work and fix all the stats along with all the firegraft stuff i'm adding
