I just got hacked

Someone hacked into my AIM. I dont know who he is but now he knows all about me. I'm not to sure if its a bad omnious omen but it did leave me a little freaked out a bit
Any ideas? Should I inform the police or make some kind of report? Cause I dont know what to do now.

Some investigator (at least he claims to be one) Said there was Serial Killer going around looking for someone by the name of Mike. Somehow he IMed me miuntes after I met the Hacker ( I threatned him saying I'd call the cops if he didn't get off. He did agree in the end). They said they were doing a secret investigation looking for him and said that he's looking for someone named Mike. However there was some factors that argue aganist him:
1. He was in Joilet
2. The Killer he spoke about lived in Joilet and was caught in the 80s. I wasn't even born in the 80s. So how does he know me? And furthermore,
3. He told me not to tell anyone even my parents. I'm not even 18 and telling me not to do that is illegal without parental contact.
4. There was no news of this ever posted. An escape of a serial killer is big news.
5. The investiagtor's profile says Ideastokill. Kinda fishy profile.

However, I now believe whoever that was just a lier scaring me.

Joliet prison has been closed down for years and they say he escaped recently. The person is does not exist cause he was never in Joilet. Plus there's the fact he never knew me anyway so there cant be a serial killer. Also I have no personal information anyway and they say they have all the imformation they need. Not to mention the fact that the person did not care to tell me his badge number and told me not to tell my parents about it. But unless Im 18, that is completey illegal. I am underage therefore he is not allowed to do that.
Also happens that only miuntes after the hacker IMed me, I got this notice from the nonexistance cop. So am I still in danger?

well, about the only thing you can do is tell your parents, change passwords and questions and such, (even screen name if you're not attached to it). It'd be somewhat senseless but maybe even flushing your IP would be a good idea. (Even though if he was smart enough he already has it and has tracked down your location)

But do tell your parents. It's better than having to live paranoid about something crazy.

I found my hacker and yes it was a prank that my friends pulled on me for the fun of it.
It was a team thing that my friend Chirs Volek, His bro, and Mike D pulled on me. Volek pretended to be hacked by someone named James while his bro stood by waiting for the fake person to get off and then he appeared on my AIM, posing as the hacker, and then Mike contacted me on my AIM and posed as a cop. They played their roles quite well, though I was pissed at them for half the day at school because they did that. They left me scared shitless the whole day Saturday. But its all good now.

It did teach me an important lesson: Never put real information on where your live. Do not put anything down unless its false info to mislead people.

Now here's my next question:

If you can actually REMEMBER the false information, yeah... But I'd suggest writing it down somewhere if that's what you're doing. That, or just get some new friends that wouldn't do that to you. - (Can be combined with previous) Sneak in their homes at night, drug them so they stay asleep. Then drag their bodies to somewhere in the mid of a forest and start fucking them over like Blair Witch.
- Hire a homeless guy to stalk them.
- Hire someone they don't know to phone-harass them.
