I believe KTan is getting his AS Level results too. I managed five out of five As, sir! Beat that.
For those of you who have no idea what I'm on about, AS Levels are an important factor for universities on judging whether to make you an offer or not - they're the results of your penultimate year's education in school. Every year there's the token pictures of happy kids (almost always girls, because this is Britain we're talking about) and the token debate about how exams are getting easier.
But I got top grades in every subject so I'm happy.
Um. I probably shouldn't boast as much.
But I'm so happy.

Apparently, they're a British package of the American combination of SATs, ACTs, AP exams, IB exams, State Standardized Exams and finals.

British are such simpletons. :P
GJ on your score though. Hope Ktan gets just as high. (a score that is.)
Sorry to dissapoint, but, frankly, I fucked up. No idea how though, so I'm getting a photocopy of my papers.
I got Cs in Maths and a U in one of my Phyics modules, which will bring that down. I'm going to have to piss about with resits now. As is fairly obvious, I'm somewhat miffed, partially because I don't even know what went wrong.
I aced History and Critical Thinking though. Chemistry wasn't great, but I don't give a shit about that one.
It's salvageable, but it may well ruin my hopes about Oxford.

A few of which you don't need to take.

My original post seems a bit stupid now. Sorry. :(
I suppose, at least it's salvageable. Could have been worse, one of my friends got C/D/E/E/U and another is in such a bad mood she hasn't even divulged hers.

Too bad, K'tan. I hope you'll still be able to make it into Oxford. *pats on back in an encouraging way*
Congrats to RedRag too. You also after a spot in Oxford?

A spot in Oxbridge, yeah. Probably Cambridge instead of Oxford.

A U?!Dont your grades go to f?!
Man,why dont you use numbers?!In Serbia its:
A-5 B-4 C-3 D-2 F-1 wait-where is E?!
But I did the exams pretty good 21.5 point of total 40.Average -_-"...
Its so confusing at you guys.

Not a problem, I knew your intent was not to offend. You probably thought I'd have done well too :).
It's very salvageable, yes, it just means a lot more hard work to come. While I never intended to sit on my laurels, it's just going to make things a little trickier.
Fortunately, I'm dropping Chemistry, a subject I have absolutely nil love for, so I'll have more free periods in which to solve any issues. Further, I'm getting photocopies back, and I suspect that these results may not damage my predicted grades as much as I had feared.
At my school, they don't certificate any AS's, unless you drop them. Thus, these results are totally invisible to any uni. It's just a shame this is the first year they can look at our resits, or how many we've done. I personally think it's wrong, but with more and more people fighting for Uni places, I'm hardly surprised.
I have a few things in my favour:
I have not totally lost my liking for Physics. This makes it very easy to fix what went wrong.
I have more time out of lessons due to Chemistry
Driving lessons should be coming to an end soon
It is possible to do a 'Foundation Course' at Manchester university, which requires BBC, instead of AAB. I expect to fix it so I get AAB, at least, but BBC is well within my means. If I complete this course, I then get to go into a Physics course at Manchester Uni, which I have heard is excellent. Then, I may by all mean be able to go to Oxbridge, if I wish to continue my education or stick with Manchester.
I'm just coming to terms with it not being a total disaster.
I believe I got ACC. I assume these are the AQA marks, so in Maths I got either a B or C, I'm yet to add up. I got A in Crit thinking unit one (and quite a high A, at that) and a B in unit 2.
History: A B A for course essays (I got 2 marks off full ;p)
Maths: A C C (Resits, methinks)
Physics: A B U
Chemistry: B B U (So that's a c or d, around 30-40 UCAS points, since I won't be continuing as I hate the subject with a passion. Perhaps I should have looked at German instead >.>)
I suspect that my hard work during term, coupled with a presentation that one teacher described as 'Second Year University' Standard shows that I'm great in practice, just maybe not so much on paper ;p
We'll wait and see.
I'm sure your friends will be ok. Resits are still possible, and, if they find out where they have gone wrong, mistakes are rectifiable. There's always a way, and at least we are not at A2 level. If results like this come out at A2, you're in trouble.
Apparently our school was very disappointing in terms of results, so perhaps it's just 'one of those years'

Wow, you want to go to Cambridge or even Oxford. Supposedly, both those schools are harder to get into than Harvard, which means they are both impossibly hard to get into. The only people who get into Harvard that I know of are the valedictorians, the people who have 4.0 GPAs. Good luck with that.
