Spdstr here, I'm currently looking for some inspiration on my next map, since I just got done with my first one. I'm not very sure of what I want to do next, so any suggestions would be appreciated. Just post a map that you've always wanted to see, but didnt' feel like doing it yourself, or new ideas entirely. Please also note that it can't include Brood War units until I get my Expansion pack back from my friend :'(. Your help will be appreciated and I'm sure others would find it useful as well.

You could always make a map about me, of course - Or use some information from my fan fiction THE RING (http://http://starcraft.org/fanfiction/showshortstory.asp?f=1966), or a map where you play WarBoarders vs BlizzForumers (aka against themselves, pretty much the same people) Heck, I even made a map about mIRC one time, not to talk about it, tho...never got it uploaded, too big...ahahahahahhaha...crraaaaazeeeyyy...you could make it so you can switch to play as your enemy in a melee mep (online, 'course) or make one about Fight Club (http://filmcritic.com/misc/emporium.nsf/84dbbfa4d710144986256c290016f76e/73a02859cfccc6e0882568040009c9a1?OpenDocument), hah, that'd be the shit if it ended up good. I even made one about FF7 one, but this isn't much new, but taking from the old making something new of it? Perhaps even taking the official campaign, and alter it to make both players playable...even the computer, hah! That's enough, though, but links in my signature can help you on the way. Just be a little sceptic on what you are about to enter, though....a world of madness! ARREH!

A survival map, Infiltration-style? Playing as a ghost, or dark templar, infiltrating the ranks of the enemy, then having to use your wits to get around the complex. Heh. Some sort of that, and when you're caught you can call for reinforcements (as a beacon, moving your civilian over to it)...I'd most def'd like to have a choiche of character, though, and Tyler Durden being one of them (preferably a ghost or marine) :D

Make an epic RPG.
I'll try making one of these today, maybe. I won't set it in the middle ages though, simply because many of the units wouldn't make sense during that time period (Marine [guns]).

I've come up with an idea all my own. If someone who's read the SC books could post some story about some of the heroes from the past, I may be able to make a multiplayer map of which you can choose different ones. Maybe even making it like a pre-SC RPG ;).

Hm, I'm not "guys" but a guy and if you want an inspiration source....try Fallout (http://www.interplay.com/Fallout/)! A post nuclear adventure. I even saw a map once, where they had a secret optional quest referance to Fallout.. ("The local overseer wants you to look for a replacement water chip") - No doubt what that came from, well, if you catch my drift...and neither doubt that MGS and Fallout has shit in common...to some certain degree, the dark and ironic future-set (not space-like, more industry-ruins and toxic-like) RPG.

Perhaps you should take it up again, and see if you could regain some inspiration. Oh, and perhaps swing by Fallout II while you're at it. Whom doesn't know, the creative sparks I have gotten from Interplay time to time... they certainly make up good stories, yes they do...

Thanks, I might do the same. I'll probably install it next weekend (I'm going camping this weekend ;)).

Can't help you with that, but why the hell did you double-post? Ever heard about editing posts? Argh, annoying me. Do I have to domesticate you or something? Nevermind...Good Will Camping! I am a die hard Fallout-series fan as you might guess, just my eternal favorite cult classic old school game :D

Are we talking Starcraft warcraft or something else?
The forum this thread is located in may give you an idea. Some ideas could be related to other games though.

Spdstr hyper triggers may be of some help in a bound map. All I really know.

make a melee map ^^

Ole-The-Murder

and make it with optional quests you can take aside of beating your opponents, such as... assasin missions.... fetch me that thang mission..etc, etc....not a normal melee map either, make alot of funny map twists like a labyrinth in the middle, f.eg..... adding a funny encounter to it, and the creeps being in the labyrinth who stretch all over the map except for the start locations and extension sites, which can be guarded by mines. Sounds like a good idea to start out with...just cred me :D

Make a campaign of what you think the SC:II plot will be like.

This thread is two years old.

Since when did Ole get unbanned, and what happened to Peace Machine?
