First and foremost, every mapper must have the latest version of SCMDraft (http://stormcoast-fortress.net/downloads/scmdraft2ZIP/download). ;)
Saving the picture
1. Open your map
2. Go to: file -> save image
3. Create a folder in your maps folder called "pictures" (or whatever you wish)
4. Save it in that folder
Editing the picture
1. Download and install Gimp (http://www.gimp.org/) (if MS Paint works for you, then you can use that)
2. Open the .bmp image saved by SCMD with Gimp
3. At the top: image -> scale image
4. Scale the image to approximately 800px or smaller (it will take under a year to open the picture on the internet)
5. File -> save as -> .jpg (best for uploading on WBs and other sites)
And although it seems like a no-brainer to most people, some..."newer"...members have had difficulty figuring out how to post files. If you are not one of them...just ignore this part. :P

1. Under the quick reply box (where you type posts) click "go advanced"
2. Now, scroll down until you find "Additional Options"
3. Find the "Manage Attachments" button and click it
4. Under "upload file from your computer", click "browse" and find your file (map and picture in this case)
5. BEFORE CLOSING THE WINDOW, click "upload".
6. NOW close the window and post
