I have a 400MF sorc that I spend some time on here and there and I keep finding shittons of stuff that's useless to my level but would probably be good for a twink. For instance, I regularly throw away unique swords, shields, boots, etc. because I couldn't get more than a Sol for them and that's worthless. It'd be nice if someone could actually use them.

If you come across sigon pieces, please let me know. It's one of my favorite low level sets of all time -- coupled with Khalim's Flail, Manald, Cathan's, and an Etlich Ammy it is the defacto in twinking setup. I've actually used it to melee a sorceress up through act4 without blinking, until I ran into IM, then switched to spells.

It's funny when people see you taking out Mephisto with a sorceress, lol.

But yeah. I'll be remaking my sorceress soon, whenever I set aside some time and/or find other people on. Diablo II is so boring alone, at the least I enjoy spamming my flist and/or getting spammed in return. Otherwise I mine as well be playing solo offline in single player.

Oh, and I will give you tons of rep or internets or whatever if you find a razorswitch for me. It is my favorite staff of all time, and it took me almost all ladder season to get one last time -- and it's only an exceptional staff, its not like its rare or anything. (and if you can spare one, though I don't want to ask to much, a Skin of Vipermagi and/or Peasant Crown which are just awesome)

I think this time around I may focus exclusively on a Sorceress and perhaps another IK Barbarian. I don't know if I'm really interested in killing the tristram trio or farming all the keys needed to do so again.

I'm making a Healadin on US East, but I don't think that type of build is really reliant on apparel. As tempting as it would be for me to mooch stuff off of you, I'd probably just end up pawning it off to newbies for the very Sol runes you dispise.

OK, when I say I can help you get something, I mean name a mid-to-low level item and I'll help you get it. Not "name your favorite 10 piece set and I'll make 3 new mules to try and hold all the shit". I have 3 peasant crowns and I sold my Razorswitch, but it shouldn't be too hard to get another.

What equipment/build does your sorc use? I have a MF (meteorb) sorc as well, but I tend to stick to Tal Rasha's and a med. weapon merc for maximum survivability while running meph. (spirit or stormshield, depending on what i'm fighting). I only have around 300 MF (i believe - TR, wartravs, chance, 2 nagel), though. I suppose I could switch out dual ali babas or something while using the moat trick for an extra bit. (or give my merc some MF - I use him as a tank)

Well, I've found that it's best to mix-and-match.

While Skullders offers superior MF for higher levels, I've found that its resistances blow ass and it doesn't have great defense to boot. Unless, of course, you want to spend an Ist rune on an Ethereal Skullder's, for great defense and shitty resistances. Additionally, the best MF I could get on an amulet was 33%, and Goldwrap with 30% for a belt.

If you switch to Tal armor / ammy / belt, you get 112% MF from the armor, 15% from belt, then a 65% MF bonus from the three-item combo (192%). Almost the same as a Goldwrap, Ammy, Skullder combo (~205%). Once you get to higher levels (clvl90+), the MF on Skullders becomes more pronounced. However, you still suffer from hideous elemental damage and remain a few skill levels down. Not good for fighting Meph or trying to clear a Worldstone Throneroom of Burning Souls.

I found that switching to Tal's gave me around +50 resist to all compared to its counterparts. Additionally, there are some +dex and +life/mana bonuses thrown in there.

Hm, I'm clvl 86, full tals (love the resists and the +skills, with my charm (don't have an anni yet) it's +11), wartravs, chance guards, but neither shako nor gheeds, an off-shield of a SPIRIT Monarch, (or switch to PDiam Stormshield). So I guess I'm more built for fighting than MF, save that I can't even kill Baal in hell (Well, I can't *get* to him due to the throne minions, but I guess I haven't tried recently)

The main problem is that I started poor, so most of my equipment has low % MF for its type, though I'm happy to say it's all legit :P

I've been working on a kicksin recently, to do Uber Tristram, but got distracted with Hellgate. (I'm going back to D2 while waiting for a patch)

Best thing about my sorc, though? I can't afford the -resist aura item for my merc, so I've got the +med aura, griswolds' with triple-30% resists, and a tal rasha helm for the leech; this means that killing mephy is more a case of 'porting to him (no way to run out of mana with that aura) and letting my merc tank him than trying not to die, as we both have maxed or near-maxed resists.

Now you've got me all interested again. I'll have to go and try to kill diablo for fun. And try to find the right items to finish my 'sin.

Well, I've got some sin stuff you could probably have. Firelizard claws, Bartucs, shitzu like that. I also have the full Natalya set, but I'm waiting for someone to give me a rune for it. I also have full Orphan Call, full Disciple, full Cow King, I threw away full Sigon, I have partial Tals (the important parts). I have tons of shit, I think for some reason I have a compulsion for set items. Go figure.

By the way, if anybody needs a low-mid unique, let me know. If you want a high unique, I'm probably going to want a trade.

Heh. Unfortunately, kicksins are a little weird in item terms - I'm more looking for the stuff to make a Last Wish berzerker axe for her than anything else. This is unfortunately fairly difficult to find (jah mal jah sur jah ber), and requires a six-slot weapon.

They're more dependent on +%damage items, high CB, and +atkspd than anything else, as the concept is to use high-damage boots and massive numbers of kicks to do crazy things. Other nice items from Janus' thread include Faith bows (Ohm+Jah+Lem+Eld), and Death axe/swords (Hel+El+Vex+Ort+Gul). Of these, it seems to me that Faith or Death would be the easiest to acquire (both require 2 HR), but that Death would be more useful for ubers-hunting due to CB. (though harder to find a five-socket eth axe. Why eth? Kicks don't lower weapon durability.) Regrettably, all I have is cham and some hels, if I remember right

As uniques go, for that char I'd be looking for fleshripper or stormlash, chains of honor, guillaume's face, and Mara's Kaleisdescope. Nonuniques? Some kind of Myrmidon greaves I can take to charsi.

Anyhow, I'm always MFing, so these may or may not become obsolete at some point. If anyone has any items they're looking for for their chars, post 'em here and I'll keep an eye out. (also, feel free to ask me for a rush through norm/NM/most of hell)

Aye, I heard they were common, I just never see them. (go figure - last time I played DII I had a similar sorc who found three burizas in as many runs.)

Druid? You have a druid?

Druids are kind of gimpy, unfortunately. They lack a lot of punch at the higher levels, as their only chance is a transform fireclaw Druid. Fire immunes rip them a new asshole, but that's basically their only chance. I've got a Hellrack, Buriza, Gut Siphon, and a few others. Just let me know.
