At approximately 4:16 am (cst) this morning I became a "big brother" for the 7th time. :D
His (unofficial) name is Micheal James and he came in at 21" and 11 lbs 7 oz after about 4 hours of labor. (if you based if off when the contractions start it'd be 16 hours)
I'll try and post some pics if possible later. (Camera batteries dead right now >.<)

You put in "big brother" in quotes why?
Is it your mother's child? Or a sponsorship program you sign up to help kids in wherever? If the latter, why would they give you an unofficial name?

I did it because I've already been a big brother 6 times so it's not really new to me. (hard to explain)
And the name's "unofficial" because we're still deciding if we like it or if we might be able to come up with something better. (Sorta like GA's position when he had his 3rd child) So if anyone has suggestions throw em out here. :)

Simple. 2 girls sleep in their own room, the 2 noisy boys sleep in their own room. And then I get the rest of them in my room. :P 8 siblings isn't that bad actually. Despite they can get annoying at times they usually provide a great way of getting out of chores. :D

Families with lots of kids are the bomb.
My grandfather had 14 brothers and sisters, and had one room for girls and one room for boys. :)

Yea it's her biggest. The next one down was 10 lbs and after that there's four 9 pounders and then an 8 lb 11oz and then me, the smallest at 8/6. :P (Which is still big for a first birth)
So she's used to bigger babies but this one came as a shock to her. (let alone everyone else in the house :P)

Nice! My dads side is where it comes from I guess. I was the first of 8. My mom was the last of 4. But my granddad on my moms side came from a large family too. (can't remember the number though)

I don't know whether to give my congratulations or my sympathy. One of my mates has a little brother, and it drives him off the wall. Then again, you'll prolly be used to that by now. ;)
So, congratulations!

Now you are 8,double than me.Congrats(I hope you have much patience)
Actually, patience is not my strong point. I have virtually no patience with either myself or many people around me.

When a man loves a women, sometimes the stork comes and delivers a baby to test the bond of that love.
In other news, congrats on a large family. To be honest, I don't see many of time, mostly back in the old days would families have 4+ kids.

Actually, patience is not my strong point. I have virtually no patience with either myself or many people around me.Then you're screwed.Trust me, my 6 years old sister is bit crazy and my baby sister...don't ask.She now can walk and she walks around the house (it is easier to chase mum), she gets the phone and acts like she is talking...And that's not all! My 2 years old and 5 years old cousins have come to my house for summer and they are crazier than you could imagine! Courage, man, courage!

Isn't it kinda expensive to raise 8 childeren? I mean, they all need clothes, food, etc.
U-238

Yea, things are indeed tight. But, then again, when you live on 13 acres you can have a pretty big garden. :P
Clothes arn't a huge problem since both of my sisters are fairly close in age so they do a lot of hand-me-downs. Most of the boys do as well so it keeps the clothing costs down. My mom also sews cloths for most of the younger ones that need it and my sisters. So yea a lot of hand-me-downs and that's about it. (Which makes it so nice to be the oldest as virtually everything you get is new. :))

Eh, it's not that bad. My parents are fairly lax on who can give out the disciplinary measures so as long as you get their respect when they're young they'll serve pretty darn well. (But there ARE those days...)

Ooh cool, you could train 'em to fetch the newspaper, or get you a cold beer, or pick up the phone for you! :D
(seriously, I know a dog that can fetch you beer and bring you the phone when it rings. Bro's can't be much harder to train)
