Inverting Terrain?

Is it possible, using any map editor, to invert terrain? Turn say, a desert map into a jungle map? (Scraping all the doodads in the process, is or isn't neccissary, but if it does, no complaint). The reason is I really like the Broodwar Desert Map Primeval Isles, and however, the Desert Terrain is uses is Broodwar only? Or is it possible to overlay that design/terrain onto a different map, creating a duplicate that isn't the same terrain style?
Or are there any other 8 player island maps with 30-45 small islands (256/256) that one would know of, and I could download? (Right now River Wars is the only good islands map I know of, and that's only 7 players).

The word you're looking for is "convert" and yes, it can be done. Use GUEdit and change the terrain type to Jungle. It isn't perfect, but it converts most terrain types.

It dosn't converte all terain though. It will only work for Jungle, Desert and Ice.
