I just played a zvz. I'm the guy named 'Whydidmommyleav'. I played the guy with a classic zvz style and wondered why the hell I lost. His build order was so ridiculous when I scouted that I knew there's no way he could win. Yet he did.
So I watched the replay, and it was very interesting.
Look at his point of view, the guy named wildervera.

564 minerals at 6 seconds of the game.
No. Send the replay to one of blizzard's peeps. The guy will get his cdkey banned.

What email do I send to when I want to report to blizzard about hackers? Is it game-specific or is there one for all games?
Also, this hack seemed to be particularly a zerg trick. Do I also have to worry about T and P players with mineral hacks?

Don't worry about hackers, just report them to here (http://www.blizzard.com/support/?id=eHacks000) and then move on with your life. (Gawd, that link took a helluva time to find).
If you want to play with a good community that is hack free than come to op swbk @ US East (that is.. the US East server), and join our fun filled community ;).
Well, I don't know if it's only doable with Zerg, but with any race it's obviously a threat. Floating by about 400 at the start lets him build a fair amount of stuff quite early. I'm sure it would be very handy for a rush.
Anyway, SilverCrusader (heh, SC) hit the nail on the head. Go to the boys at Blizzard with your rep.

Thank you for that SC. Once I get home I'll make the report.
I'll also look at replays more often. Min. hackers are likely to put workers on minerals just for the deception, but in this case the idiot didn't do so, which really baffled me in-game when I tried to harass his mineral income, and forced me to look at the rep. to find out where he was getting his minerals.
Hackers make me a sad panda :(

With his rate of zergling production, I doubt that would've worked out too well.

It's only doable with zerg. It's canceling queu for egg which zerg doesn't have queus. Thus making this glitch. It has some weird shit done with building and what not. A friend told me this. Anyways I don't think Blizzard even cares anymore with SC hackers. Just makes new crappy patches.

He had hydras if you watched the rep. Lurkers have a great splash against massed units like lings and hydras if you get enough lurks.

I think blizz still cares about hackers. They did ban thousands of CD keys for hacking and made all those patches!

Yes but cd key bans were not only a long time ago, but in fact beneficial to their own sales...

which is good for us. Blizz makes more money = more money to fund their games = better games made.

Money put into something doesnt automatically make it better.

Blizzard would have no trouble fixing this though.
The hack works by sending a packet for morphing and for cancel last at the same time. The morph begins the order for the unit and sets the id. The cancel last removes that id from the build queue, but the unit still morphs. Then, after the morph order has begun, the cancel morph packet is sent and the morph is canceled as normal. However, the build queue entry that contains the unit id that should be refunded is reset to 228(invalid unit), and therefore creates a buffer overflow when refunding the mineral cost, and ends up giving 514 minerals back to the player.
The fix would be to check the order when attempting to cancel last.

I played another game at my friend's house where afterwards, we watched the replay (but we had to go and it was stuck as 'last replay'; I'm pretty sure it's overrided now). The guy only used the egg hack 3 times that I've counted, but I managed to stop his zergling multitude with some sunkens, and eventually I outproduced him in mutalisks and constantly took his gas drones out. He left :D

400+ min 6 secs? ;O that would be insane...
Srsly, this thread isn't going to go anywhere with people posting in it just to go 'Omg, hackers.'
I'm going to close it, because it's kinda run its course now.
