This is just a quick poll to see how Blizzard's decision to go console-only has been received by the gaming community.

I spend more time w/ my computer then my console. I would've appreciated a computer game more, but I do have PS2, and for a game I like so much, I think that I'll end up buying it. I"m not much of a console gamer, as I don't really have time to play w/ it.

I'd buy a console if they had mice instead of joysticks.
3rd or 1st person games NEED a mouse. No, not just because I'm stubbornly used to it, I've analyzed the situation. With a mouse, you indicate the movement from point A to B with a quick jerk of the mouse. With a joystick, you indicate the velocity from point A. So when you're looking around in first person, the emphasis is on where you're aiming, not how you look there. Then in other games, like racing and sport stuff, the velocity is more important then the final point... Yup, there ya go.
This just is so obvious, since I hear there's auto-aim things on consoles. Come on, get a mouse!... which brings up another topic, why aren't there mice for consoles? That would SO make me get one. Truly, seriously, make a console using mice. Gah...

I have X-box, but I don't think I am going to get Ghost. It doesn't look that good yet. But I think I am going to wait till it comes out so I can read some reviews. Then I will decide.

Regardless of if it sucks or not, I'm going to get it. I've always loved the 3rd person games... 1st person drives me insane.
There are too few games that are 3rd person. The one that I'm playing right now on my computer (of course) is Jedi Outcast. It, coincidentally, (I think) was developed by Nihilistic. It's an excellent game, and if they do the same with SC: Ghost, I would love it.
I have a PS2 and a GC... but Ghost is the worst game I've ever seen so I'm not wasting money on it.
I'd buy a console if they had mice instead of joysticks.

I don't mind about consoles. I'll sure buy StarCraft: Ghost, which will be great anyway, no matter if it would be a PC or console game!

I have read/heard alot of complaints about Blizzard 'abandoning it's PC fans' but I don't think this is true. Blizzard was originally deeloping games for consols and then moved to the PC. Mabey they decided that Ghost would be better on a platform? Mabey they wanted that feel.
Of course I will buy it, I just have to decide what consol to buy it for.

Truly, seriously, make a console using mice. Gah...There aren't mice for consoles because you can't use a controller in one hand and a mouse in the other. Unless you're left handed and can use the mouse in your right hand and all of the "action" buttons in your left, but that would really hurt after a while.
And I'll buy it, if for no reason other than I always liked console games better. The only PC games I ever enjoyed were from Blizzard. That's it. Day of Defeat? Rather stupid. That one game the US Army released? Yeah, tell me one force in the world that can instantaneously change between steriotypical terrorist outfits and weapons to army fatigues and rifles. Fire Warrior? Never worked! With consoles you never have to worry about installation errors (like the copy of HALO I got) or "Fatal Errors" that boot you out of the game.
You also don't have to put up with nim-wits who can't spell, and insist on making up for it with that horrible excuse for slang that l33t is. Seriously, I'd rather put up with spelling mistakes than numbers that supposedly represent letters. (by the way, just out of curiosity, what does l33t mean?)
You do have a point, though, that mice deal with direction and joysticks with velocity. :)

elite. lite. leet. Yaknow... I guess some crazy guy made it, everyone follows, I don't know why...
Sure, then get a mouse AND a keyboard (or equivalent) attached to a console... really, how hard would that be? And the mouse would have 10 buttons or so. So, yea.

I hope Ghost comes for PC.....even it is released for PC 3 monts after console release. Take Halo for example. A lot of people said it was going to be for PC, Microsoft eventually did release it. Also, releasing Ghost for PC would get BLizzard and nihilistic a lot $$$$

Whoever said that FPS and 3rd person games are better on PC, I respectfully disagree. I find that you can do better, particularly at first person games, using the standard "Halo controls", particularly with an xbox controller. I find it harder on the pc.
I don't mind, because if you could have gotten either way I would have gotten it for console, simply because it's more portable. I think that even though it is receiving a lot of criticism, it will still be a great game. Plus, it'll get me more back into StarCraft, which I need to be doing :)

I think blizzard wants ghost to have that "console" feel to it. I also think that it will be a lot better on the console. There arent too many games like ghost for pcs anyways. If it did release for the pc, I'm betting the system requirements would be prety high.

I wonder if Startcraft Ghost does well if they'll make sequels to it with other SC units. Imagine playing games like Starcraft Firebat, Starcraft Probe, Starcraft Zergling , or even Starcraft Vulture!

Hey cool! Then the vulture can pilot marines and medics as nova does tanks and goliaths ^^
If Ghost is an absolute success and blizzard can come up with a 2nd good story line then I don't see why not. Just means SC2 will never come around + 1 1/2 years.
I find myself dropping out of gaming in general lately, just not too interested in that sort of thing.
Not sure, just been more concerned with a load of other things to have time to really sit down and play a good game for a while.
Regardless, I think SC:G will be a good game, I don't expect Blizzard to release something too crappy, of course there are issues with changing companies mid-game, and such.. But, as it is I think it will be acceptable game, it all depends on what you expect to get from the game. I see it as a good product in a fairly crowded genre, not an exceptional one that will push the definition of the genre further.. but we can't expect everything Blizzard does will change our mindset on gaming.
So, personally.. I may or may not purchase, depending on how much free time I can gather up, but I see no reason not to purchase it merely for playability and fun.. Try not to put so much effort into thinking that Blizzard games need to be perfect and revolutionary, they are just regular people working there.. They innovate as they are able. But they've deadlines and problems just like anyone else.
Off-Topic: You can use both mouse and keyboard on PS2, I did so for the PS2 EQ Beta test. Just depends on support for that sort of thing, but my standard USB keyboard and mouse worked fine.

I own a PS2 and I've been a fan of stealth games since Hideo Kojima made the MSX Metal Gear. A stealth game made by my favorite PC company with a solid enoguh concept can't be all THAT bad.
