Nearly Done! Just need a few things answered and ill release my pre-public (by that i mean battle net , they can be vicious :P)
The leet mappers here can give me a hand hopefully.
I need Beta Testers !!!!

I need , modelers/skinners/animators
I'm requesting a Ninja(hero),Rocket Soldier(non-hero) Monk,Groundskeeper(basically a lesser monk,so not as decorated)
An improvement off the doodad Citadel with a training/death animation , Improvement of the Statue of ashzhara with an training /death animation , and an improvement of the Statue[the one with the knight] with a training / death animation. This would be appericated and creds will be given.

I also need some Map Promoters.
This is prolly the easiet job available, just host the map, refer friends to it, Send to the website etc, etc. Creds will be given.

More Questions
And I cant find the Triggering Unit action, where do you locate this at.

How do you make an mutual AI run for all computers?
(im trying to make it so if a player clicks to open a computer slot , it runs my AI that uses the Units i invented.

hmm... lets see... :)
for a "protector" you could use Vexorian's Map Optimizer (as well as some others... but i dont know each and every one out there... lol)
(basically you'd remove all the data that the World Editor needs to read, and as such, makes it difficult to open the map and edit it, also, it can optimize the map and allow it to run faster)

hmm... can't help with the modeling (nor the other things revolving around it)

not sure if i'd be a map promoter, cuz honestly, i haven't all too much time myself...
but i will say that if the map is really good, i might try and play it with my friends and stuff... but no promises outside of that...

what do you mean?
if you're referring to certain events that say that you'd use "triggering unit" to refer to the unit
then you'd basically use any 'Unit - ' action, and in the field where it refers to the unit, you'd go to 'Event Response - Triggering Unit' and that will indicate the unit that "triggered" the event
(if that isn't what you meant, then please rephrase) :)

as for AI, that depends on exactly how your map works...
if its pretty similar to a melee map, then i suppose that you could use the AI Editor, if not you could check out AMAI, otherwise... you could always just control the computer's actions through triggers :cool:

lastly, i'll offer to help with testing it perhaps, but that might depend on when you'd wish to test it, so that would have to be discussed, if it becomes necessary :)

K thanks for the event,thats exactly what I meant. Ive already made my Ai using AI Editor,but im trying to make it activate in the event that the host chooses to switch the open slot to computer. I could just make a trigger that tells it to activate with all players right?This in no way would glitch it if a human played right? And promoting means playing this on battle net telling RL or battle net friends etc. And ill get to dling/ using Vex's map optomizer /asap.
You know you should really realase a map edwinfong, I highly doubt that it would be bad. And ill need your battle net to give you your creds !!

and for the AI thing...
perhaps something like this ought to help:
(action)
Player Group - Pick every player in (All players matching (((Matching player) controller) Equal to Computer)) and do (Actions)
Loop - Actions
AI - Start melee AI script for (Picked player): map.ai
(mind you, i haven't removed the player group leak... but seeing as this trigger should only be run once anyways... it's not necessarily a big deal, but if necessary, it can be implemented (you can ask for it as well))
this method basically, picks every computer controlled player slot, and then runs the AI for each one (this way it only runs for the comp controlled, whilst leaving the human players alone) :)

yeah, i understand the promoting thing... but like i said... I'm not going to directly be a promoter... but instead, if it proves to be really great, i would naturally show it to my friends and stuff, and in such a way it would spread, and not that i would go around just trying to spread it about, lol
(basically, i'd do it of my own accord, and not cuz i volunteered to help do it, lol) ;)

I am registered to 3 of our websites about games,and many play WC3.Could do.
As for the animators and other stuff,hm,I think that Sid knows with that.Also you should open a thread similiar to this in wccampaings (if you already have),thehelper.net (there are lots of usefull stuff there).

@Edwinfong I read that you said you never released a map in xeoz thread(dont quote me im not sure lol).And i'll be sure to give it a try lolz.And feel free to add me, but ive been busy mapping rather than playing for a bit.So if you dont see me ... yeah.

@ warinserbia, Im glad you can be a promoter. And by skinner I mean skinning pre-existing units and applying some of there attributes to the customised unit. (basically changing a model file rather than starting from scratch. So just to be sure youre intrested in promoting my map right?

well (since i haven't answered your question yet...)
i am working on quite a bunch of "projects" (so to speak...) ;)
i do have a couple of maps of my own that i've been working on (not quite as much recently tho, but i do plan on resuming them soon enough)
(although, i highly doubt that many have ever heard of any specific details pertaining to most of my works, lol)

so, basically... i am working on a few of my own maps (or will resume them shortly...) (and those that know about them are rare... i doubt anyone actually knows about every one of my maps, lol)
(the main reason that i dont release many (any) maps is that i usually demand nearly perfection in them... (well, as much as i know i can, lol))
also... not sure if you've noticed, but i have also spent many hours (days, whatever) helping others with their maps... (sometimes even aiding them step by step... or even working on their maps with them for a bit...)

so, yeah... that's basically my answer, lol
(if anyone else was wondering and has read this, then there's your answer as well... (although, i highly doubt it's all that interesting... lol) and if you happen to somehow know about my maps... then, well... good for you... cuz i rarely give away details...) ;)

also, i'll probably see if you're online at times, lol
but also... yeah, i highly doubt you'd see me on b.net... cuz i too spend more time working on maps rather than playing... and... usually i play at very spontaneous times... :concern:

Although fine Xeoz, I think that most opinions and improvement comments should be left in the thread so the creator and any others that see it (both map and constructive critics) may eventually gather some knowledge out of it also. ;)

Eh, Yeah im not done done , think of this as a teaser of sorts. And I need to fix some tooltips (they messed up for some reason. ) Im constantly updadting btw, so yeah.
And terrain wise, there's tons of leftover blight from an undead computer I deleted, but no not really. I rushed it a bit so let me fix some things.

I tested the map :)
Problems I found so far!
1. Missing Tooltips.
2. When I create a hero from the Tamorian Church they auto attack my goldmine.
3. When I kill the Deadly One it seems like another one spawns beneath it. (I have kept fighting it for 35 min.)
4. You dont start out with a Town Hall so you can be revealed to your opponents.
5. In single player mode your teamates dont build they just collect lumber and gold.
6. In single player mode your allies are revealed to the enemy.
7. Terrain is too confusing.
8. Opening gates is a pain in the arse. (Using word commands)

Thats all I have for now. Will be testing again in a while so be ready for Edit on this post.

Ahh yes. They're meant to be humans so yeah..
With my newest patch ive fixed the gold mine glitch, missing tooltips and deadly everlasting.

Since you updated I retested.
and...
1. Single player army (allies and opponents) doesnt build armys to fight?!
2. More opponents are needed on battlefield.
3. Some tooltips are still missing. (Even on 'T'amorian Knight!)
4. Goldmines are retarded looking.. (They look like a big box!)
5. Still a confusing terrain...
6. You still dont start out with a town hall so you are reveavled to your enemies until you get one! :P

Thats all I can think of for now... I will test it again tomorrow..
Sorry if I am repetitive I am a little tired right now.. :)
Well I see a major improvement since the first play to the current one.. ;)

Ive added the suicidal warcaller for gameplay.
Im going major in-depth to finish everything.
So it might take a while..
Ive still got to finish working on the gambler, who can gamble for 1000 dollars. if he loses its minus a thousand... and he can cast a spell that gives a 50 percent chance to kill an target instantly and a 50 percent chance to kill himself but not the target.... He can also cast a spell that throws a giant dice....

No 'Driver, that isn't considered thread necromancy. :) If it's over a month old, general common sense tells ya that the subject has 'died' and should be left to rip. In such cases it's preferable to make a new thread about it. And that usually is because rare are the occasions that a thread necro' lives usefully for much longer since it usually results in spam/pointless posts.

When the double post is well spreaded (timely speaking) and useful I usually don't have a fuss about it. :)
Most of the gripes with double posting is the thread's reading clog up as well as the motives already stated above.

May I also suggest you to identify what you changed in there with a "Edit" behind it (since you decided to edit it)? It's harder for members to distinguish what was already there and the changes you made later on without it. ;)
