Starcraft always freezes

Well I want to play starcraft again but my problem is that in the middle of gameplay the game freezes and i have no choice but to restart my computer. i have an nvidia geforce mx 440 and the disc is clean with no scratches or anything like that. so anyone have any suggestions?

in the middle of the game... that doesnt happen on me, actually, when i win a game(whatever kind of game), when i press end mission OR victory(after the end mission) the game crashes (sometimes)

i have the NEWEST patch available the f*cking 1.15.0 (i think this patch is the cause of the crashes), those crashes didnt happen on me before but now with this patch... all has changed

I don't have any problem with the patch,maybe your hardware is too new to play SC.(My hardware is realy old)

errr no, it doesn't work that way with most games apostolos. Onboard video should be able to run SC easily. Any more information that you have? Does it freeze than keeps playing? Does anything happen when it freezes?

Try to install sc from another disc.

Have you noticed any graphical related thing like funny color changing and such?

Most likely it's PC related issue. Try to defrag' your HD.
And/Or maybe it's a virus, add/spyware. Try to clean it (http://www.warboards.org/showthread.php?t=28432) and see how SC-BW goes afterwards. ;)

if your cd is scratched like crazy, you need a new one. i had the same problem. music would start repeating over and over, then game would freeze.

disc is clean with no scratches or anything like that.
