See, recently the net provider changed his deal completely without consulting us.

we now know he is a scoundrel.

he tried to stick us with a FIVE MB MONTHLY LIMIT.
and now he's charging for it, but made the limit unlimited.

but thats not the problem.
today, i had to reistall the wc3 patches. i dled 3 of em, one of which is kinda...well, stuck.

but till now ive dled roughly 16 mb of patches. and surfed BF for about 3 hrs.
but when i look into my LAN account it says ive dled 39 Mb worth of stuff!

how is this possible? i find it hard to believe BF is THAT heavy....
god i am pissed...can he be like fixing the program that measures the download? the program is 24Online Client....

Anyways, at least BF can be set to use the 'lite' style, that should help.

You'd be surprised how much data is downloaded from just surfing for a long time
well maybe the transfer limit also includes anyinformation your computer sends out. So if the client s designed to constantly send data out as well then that could be affecting your data counter..

it says just the download...not the upload.

and i wasnt surfing all 3 hrs...just about less than an hour then i closed the browser and kept the downloads on.

Get a download moniter....it helps to keep track of data transfer betweeen you pC and the net.. and confirm with your ISP whether infact datacounter counts the uploads as well or not?...

(BTW if your data limit is unlimited then what's the problem)

Anyway, I'd try using Google to dl moniter. Google will most likely have a good selection. And if Google fails, try Yahoo, Ask.com, or any other good search engines I forgot to list.
