Syncing Bluetooth Wireless Headset

Ok, so I've been working on getting my headset installed so I can use ventrilo. My problem is, it requires a security code found on the back of the box in order to sync the headset & computer. I don't have the box. What should i do >_>??

I read everything in Tech, I just don't always respond.

There isn't really anything you can do, I don't think.

Call the headset manufacturer? Stop throwing stuff out before you RTFM?

Why does a piece of hardware need a security code anyways? Do they really expect you to pirate a headset? (Which doesn't make any sense, and that's my point.)

I think the code is probably just a way for your bluetooth enabled computer to actually notice the bluetooth device you're trying to use. So for example, it doesn't start picking up external bluetooth devices around.

Then again I'm probably wrong.

Seriously though, just google it or something, I can't imagine it becomes completely useless if you lose the code.
