Programs required: Anim8or (http://www.anim8or.com)
1) What you do is create a figure with 1 bone(other than the root). Attatch your model to this bone. set tolerances for this bone [x |free| |0| |0| |45| and y |free| |0| |0| |180|.
*for more complicated animations you should build your "skeleton" onto this bone- IT MUST NOT BE PART OF YOUR ANIMATION, TREAT IT AS YOU ROOT BONE AND LEAVE IT ALONE.
2) create a sequence with 17 frames per animation(step 1, step 2, etc.). Set frame 0 as a KEY and set the bone to x 45 y 180. Set frame 16 as a KEY with values x 45 y 0. (sneaky trick: just jam the model as far over as it will go, viola, perfect 180 and 0)
3) place both you figure and your sequence in a scene, go SETTINGS/ENIVRONMENT, set background to black. Use RENDER IMAGE to get the sizing right (if it's wider than it is tall set scene to frame 9, then start zooming in and out till it fits, close render window.
4) Select RENDER MOVIE, set the title to the title of the GRP(battlecruiser=BattleCr) WITHOUT the numbers, set the pixels to what you need, set the format to BMP, and hit render.
voila, they come out prenamed GRP frames with one extra digit (4 instead of 3), but just delete one of the zeros.
you still have to batch convert and probably (I did) have to apply the SC pallette, but, hey, no guess work
enclosed is an example
plz ktan, do not delete this, it works...try it
