Im new to the Multi-player side of Starcraft. If someone beats me because they're better than me, fine; but the hacks are ridiculous. Whats the point? Its inane. Practice, read, ask for help fine, but dont cheat!
How do I avoid this crap? Is there anyway to tell if Someone's playing a hacked version? I'm an honest player who would like to get better but the cheating is prompting me to play something else.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hacking has long since been an issue on battle.net, and there have been attempts to minimize occurances. PenguinPlug used to be a great anti-cheating plugin for starcraft, but with patch 1.15 it's been rendered inoperable to that extent. My advice to you is to find a group of people to play with who do not hack. Public games are a joke anyways. Channel Op Swbk at USEast is one of those groups whose players don't see the point in hacking to win.

well, i would play in Obs games if you hate hackers so much. You can see how they play. If they move like they already know what the opponent is doing and you know he cant see him, you know hes a hacker, and suggest the host bans him. Also, a good thing to catch hackers is the wgtour launcher. i have yet to find one that works for me, so your going to have to google it.
unless some nice fourm member would like to help me out here.
moving on..
the wgtour launcher lets you see their apm (which i always like to know, but doesnt show you if their hacking or not), their selections, and what not. I think the current one only lets you see their selections in the replays, but it also saves the text people say during the game. lots of good features, but im afraid you might be stuck with manually trying to figure out if the person is a hacker or not.

Play with people you know, simple as that. Come to op swbk on east, plenty of people of all skill levels.
