Hi, many years ago i saw a friend who had a lan store, installing the basic version of SC(1.00) then he went to a folder that contained the bnet updater .exe file. He simply double clicked it and the updater runned the process. Many times i tried to do that with my old SC but a window opens and it says "this program updates through battle.net and does not need to be run" or something like. What do i do if i can't connect but i want the game updated like my friend did? THX

You can download it from Blizzard's site!

Here's a link buddy:

Back when I had dialup net I used to do this all the time otherwise it would lag out.

If the batch doesn't work, you can just copy your friends entire SC folder and transfer it to your comp.

I wouldn't advise it because he may have some external applications there like SCXE, BWLauncher, some mod files or customized tweaks within the game's *.mpq archive files (and even more if you already registered the game on line). It's preferable to dl' the file from the official patch site that Solar linked, but that's solely my opinion though. :)
