Hey guys, I'm just working out the kinks in my new website http://www.screwthetruth.com

Check out the first issue - the style is a combination of The Onion and Uncyclopedia. Hopefully I can start putting out issues more regularly, but for now here's The Truth.

PS. Yes the PDF is large, I'm working on that as well :)

Eeww PDF. Put it in HTML or something. The background is kinda a sore to the eye. I like the banner though. Simple, yet effective.

And yeah, like you said, that PDF is ridiculously large for just one page (10 mbs). Seriously, I was able to download the entirety of Homer's Iliad for a tenth of that size.

alright I was able to fix the PDF (1 mb now :) ) - I'd do HTML but I don't have the complete freedom to create like I do in PS, plus PDF allows for the document to be printed to one page from every computer

Some of the buttons on the main page are still disabled but they'll be up soon - anyways, check it out!

Anyone who doesn't have this yet, get it.

Uninstall Adobe Reader

Get Foxit Reader instead

I like the layout!

Thanks for the compliment but after working in newspapers/layout for years I know that's just a nice way of saying the paper sucks but at least it looks nice :P

Just kidding, I do really like the layout and that's the thing that really sold me on doing this was presenting something more than a regular webpage with some HTML - I'm more of a designer than a programmer (meaning I can barely code HTML to save my life - if my life depended on on me designing a new website for someone famous, I'd have a bullet wound to the back of the head so quickly I wouldn't be able to lay down HTML bracket #1 :))

I know some people are like "PDF? Ewwwww" but it really is for more than one reason - it's easier to layout and control how people see it (HTML can't be seen right in some web browsers) and print it (the original concept for this was for me and my college buddy to slip a few copies in random editions of our school newspaper and see how many hits we got on the website from that) but this seems to be working pretty good - most people like the material and that's what makes me the happiest

Thanks for the compliment again!

Is it supposed to be blank or am I missing something?

This is what the pdf looks like in my browser (Safari 2.0.4).

Try an actual PDF reader, no offense to Safari. But PDF --> HTML conversions don't always work out right.
