Hey,
I am new here and basically joined to see if anyone could answer this question:
Can you edit the text color/any other properties of battle.net w/o 3rd party programs/hacks? Is it possible? Oh, and it would help to know how.
Thanks

No you can't, not without 3rd party programs. There are spoofers but they are classed as hacks and bots get extreemly annoying.
Stick around a while.

ok i was expeirementing and something wierd happened. I pushed and held alt then typed 0,7,4,1,8,5,2,9,6,3 on the numpad and then let go. Then, my cursor changed green. wtf, is this a glitch? i didnt have any hacks applied, and it only worked once out of 3 trys. so just keep trying it and it might work (this might just be a glitch on my PC tho, i dunno)

I thought there was a way you could change your font colour by typing in special characters... unfortunately I forget exactly what you had to do or what the characters were. Anyone?

I haven't heard of any special characters that change font colour¿

In the game, yes. In the battle.net chat it's a normal-looking mouse.

Yeah, Just look in Xtra editor. They have the little symbols that look like thick vertical lines. If you place those in front, than they change the color the rest of the line or something. The grey and invisible ones though (why the hell do they even HAVE invisible, i will never know) change it for the rest of the sentence/line and cant be changed by further "color tags" as they are called. I'm at college right now, but as soon as i get home, I'll see if i cant post those charicters. They all look alike though, so just be carefull not to confuse them.
*EDIT: Ok, so i'm home now. Hmmm, it appears that the lines appear as squares here. There are some more of these, which like, make a back row, and front row words, and such, You'll just have to get those off of xtra editor. Just go over to Starcraft.org and look for it.
Light blue Yellow White Red Green Grey.

Um no. I think those little squares are coded for SC maps. They won't change the colour in battle.net chat rooms.

Actually, that lettering was originally intended for rez\stat_txt.tbl and other .tbl files. That's where they were first discovered. Just one day, a custom maker wondered what would happen if he/she applied those colours to in-game text. And it worked.
I wouldn't be surprised if they worked in-game on Battle.net too. But in the Battle.net chat they shouldn't work.

Simple, you just have the mark for the color you want copied, and whenever you want to tpye w/ the color, simply do a ctrl+v to paste the color mark on.

Copy/Paste functions dont work in game for sc.
