Hey,

Let me begin with saying how much I love this movie (96 version). It was, I suppose, the first movie which really captivated me from beginning until end, and I still have somewhat of a crush on Claire Danes... lol... :).

Anyway, for a project I'm doing I need a particular piece of music which seems not to be present on the official soundtrack album (http://www.amazon.com/William-Shakespeares-Romeo-Juliet-Enhanced/dp/B000002U4X). I'm talking about the music which plays when Christ the redeemer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christ_the_Redeemer_(statue)) is on screen (the aerial shots). It's a rather dramatic classical theme if I remember correctly. Does anyone know the name of this piece?

Yeah maybe I should have, but I'll be damned if not a WB movie lover with some self respect should know what I'm talking about... ;). Anyways, I don't mind. I even get to see a bloody cool movie while I'm at it. Back in a snap.

Edit: Well I'll be damned. It's the opening theme... you see some aerial shots of the statue there, with a sweeping classical chorus to it.

Edit 2: But damned if I won't see it all anyway. I forgot how much I LOVE THIS MOVIE.

Don't be so quick to judge, I actually watched this movie less than a week ago...I like it because they use the original text. :)

Anyway, it sounds like an original composition to me. In fact, you can buy the CD of the score from Amazon. It's listed as Volume 2 (http://www.amazon.com/William-Shakespeares-Romeo-Juliet-Picture/dp/B000002UKM/ref=pd_bbs_4/105-1162104-3189264?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1181598656&sr=8-4)whereas what you linked to was Volume 1 which has the popular songs on it.
