So lets all speak our hearts out which are your most favorite bands today, why did they win your fanshipness? or how did you first know about them..etc

Well recently mine have been Norther, Ensiferum,Disturbed.. i got to know Ensiferum through Norther because the lead singer is the same in both, Petri Lindroos he plays one mean guitar and has some nice harsh vocals, i liked Ensiferum cuz they have such nice Viking metal music very original, where as Disturbed have the best song lyrics i've ever heard.

Mirror of madness by Norther check out the lyrics and really assimilate them:

I'll listen to Van Halen, Zeppelin, Stones, AC/DC...most anything that comes on the classic rock station. Add on top of that some NiN,System of a Down and The Darkness and you've pretty much got my favs.

I enjoy stuff like Disturbed, but don't listen to it too often. Same for Shadows Fall. Norther and Ensiferum sound pretty good, too, although at first I couldn't believe that voice was coming from that man. He just doesn't look angry enough. And let's not leave out Deathklok (http://www.adultswim.com/shows/metal/). ;)

Zenox, that band in the video you posted sounds a hell of a lot like Children Of Bodom.

I love Slipknot, Korn, Static-X, Norma Jean, Bleeding Through, Lamb Of God, Children Of Bodom,...
etc.

Zenox, that band in the video you posted sounds a hell of a lot like Children Of Bodom. Actually both Norther and COB are from Finland, and in the matter of fact Norther had a helping hand in their beginning from Alexander Kuoppala ex COB guitarist.

The frontman of Norther reminds me alot of Alexi Laiho, but I prefer Child of Bodom over Norther.

I first got into Metallica when I was browsing around for SC songs and up came the SC remix of One. That's basically it.

While I'm here, might as well throw in some Tenacious D. So they aren't necessarily in my favorites, but there's nothing like a little of the D to bring a smile to your face when you're feeling down.

I've recently been listening to All That Remains.

Same here. Well, only one song really- Six. Really good song. Are there any other songs that they play that are as good or better than Six?

All That Remains are pretty sick. A song as good as or better than Six? Listen to This Calling. It's pretty sick. Also, I have a All That Remains shirt which is pretty awesome. Lately though, I've been listening to Dr. Dre.

Ooh, good song. I just added it to my iPod. It has a similar style to Six, which is good.

@Dayoh: Yeah, Queens of the Stone Age are awesome. They're new single is pretty good, and the video clip is gross. :P

Here's a really good song from my favourite Stones album, Songs for the Deaf. It's called millionaire. I couldn't find a clip, but here's a video with it as soundtrack.

Frankly, to be honest I don't find any of their albums prior to Fall of Ideals really all that good. The screaming/singing and guitar balance in their earlier albums was just terrible IMO.

However, I love basically every song on Fall of Ideals. My current play list goes as follows (I'll bold my recommendations):

- This Calling
- Not Alone
- It Dwells in Me
- Whispers (I Hear You)
- Six : By the way, does anyone else absolutely love the solo in this song? I don't know why, it just gives me goosebumps every time.
- Become the Catalyst
- The Air That I Breathe

Those songs are IMO their best. Check 'em out. I also tend to like the songs similar to Six in their style, so you'll probably like them as well.

Just thought I'd let you guys know about this Halo Rock song. It's fan made (Created by Mothergoat) and it was good enough to win the Zune contest over at Halo.bungie.org. Check it out- http://mothergoat.net/random/furytofire.mp3

I can't stop listening to it.
