View Full Version : B.net Problem
After I play a game on B.net it will always crash, and sometimes it even crashs my whole computer to the point where restarting wont help, it will freeze there. The only thing you can do is turn the power off and then restart.
Plz help me!

It could be a black display, but there is a window with an error message. You can hit enter, then it will return back to windows. If not, then you restart it. The problem maybe, that your starcraft directory is read only (or the replays directory), and the replay autosave couse and error (but windows forget the set back the display-mode and thats all). If not that the case, then i don't know what is the problem.

Couldn't the crash be caused by overheating? Check if the PC cooling system, usually a fan, is working properly.

Maybe uninstalling everything that is sc/b.net and then reinstalling it will fix the problem. You could have a bug in your sc system files. However, it is possible that your computer is overheating, like Basan said. It could either be a result of a faulty cooling system or that you are keeping your computer on all the time (all machines need rest) and that it ultimately is overheating much faster than it can cool down.

Oh shoot. I dont know man. You really got serious problems with your comp. or at least b.net, especially if it isnt overheating. If you aren't using the comp. either put it in sleep or turn it off. It really helps a lot. I've had overheating problems too and that was a great remedy.

Let's make this clear. Are you "getting the black screen" only when trying to play SC-BW? Or is it from time to time that it simply goes awol on you and blacks for no apparent reason? :o
If it's the 1st case, then your SC-BW and/or some auxiliary applications (like B.Net Launcher) got the game installation corrupted.
If it's the 2nd, your graphic card is starting to crap out. I suggest you to search for a replacement or take it to repairs.

I've said, that it can be the read only attribut of your starcraft directory. If you manage to make it writable (uncheck the read-only, or write-protection or what ever), and the problem is still present, than something other is the problem.
Right-click on starcraft directory->properties, then you shall see.
