Hi all starcraft lovers,
I am Daemon1129, probably no one knows who I am, So i am introduceing myself by presenting a mod, I am very interested in modding starcraft so I start creating diffrent mods and pratice and one day hopefully create a fun and not broken mod. And I am here to post my current project mod, "Dawn of Starcraft" ( i dont think it make sense in english but Dawn is my nickname so plz bear wif me). It as it beta stage and only 40% done, terran and protoss has some of it stuff changed, but zerg is just heath and damage change.etc This mod is meant to change the vanilla gameplay a bit, like some units have a diffrernt role than b4, some underused units will be more useful, and changes that make starcraft a bit more fun. I tried to keep this mod as balance as starcraft should be, so there isnt any OMFG GAY ZERGlINGS EWW! thing. or sucide scvs who kills everything in one hit(altho they are fun:)). This mod also has it own theme, wat i mean is that every race has it own theme, and it is quite obiovus when u play it. so here is wat i did and wat to expect in the future;
terran theme, range, RELoad time, more realistic in a way. numbers of units is in between tozz and zerg.
Marine, laser rifle, after the a few shots there will be a RELOAD time(is easy to notice) , stim pack would still work like b4, except better.
Firebat > changed to Commando, fire gernades, more useful in any battles, dont get own by range easily, still owns zealots:D.
medic, unfortunately i cant change the heal spell, so medic is kind of useless, but when u play u will notice they are not completely useful.
ghost > Sniper specialist, one hit kill small units(marines, commado, medic, zergling, etc), long aim and reload time,in the future im going to add a scanner sweep for him as a help wif the insane attack range.
vulture, basicly the same, i realy like the vanilla one, so not going to change it unless people want me to.
Siege tank, more useful in non siege mod, siege mod, havent change a lot BUT going to in the future, i just dont have time.
goliah, a robot that basicly an anti air\ upgrade version of marines rly. notice the hellfire missile pack is rly a missile pack, it fires 4 pairs of missile and RELOAD and fire 4 pair again.
wraith, a better overall interceptor/ fighter class, has REload time.
Valkire, best anti air fighter in terran, high fire power and more heath.
science vessl, apart from adding a sheild nthing was changed, becuz my ideas wif it requirs memgraft, so i might wait for firegraft instead.
battlecursier, anti ground space cannon, :olol, u'll c, decent air attack, gd wif vallkire
overall terran is about 40% done, i still have a lot to add and balance out stuff.
protoss, like what it shoudl be, most powerful race but hgh cost and have the least number of units in mod. the protoss is probably the race i worked the most on, so there is more stuff in it.
zealot, instead of attack 2 times, it attacks 3 wif a small stunned motion to make it look cooler when attacking. get own by commado
dragoon, best buddies wif zealot, linesplash attack wif a cool attack effect, cannot attack in melee range, so wif zealots help, they r rly powerful. con is it suck against buildings or large units (battlecuriser/carries).
high templar, nothing special, change the storm damge to make it useful in this mod,
dark templar, protoss special unit, a backhand slash after the normal one, and a random special PSi pulse attack(25% chance).
corsair, more useful in this mod, a grond attack is added, gd against all kinds if unit, but the cosair is useless (except disturpor web thingy) if in a small amount, recommond do it a wolf pack form when attack ppl.
Scout > blitz, not useless anymore, wif the best anti air attack, and a
decent ground attack. but high cost.
achon, the same thing.
dark achon, same thing,
carries, change attack graphic
arbitor, better wif a powerful attack.
reaver, same thing better...
The protoss is like 60% done, becuz lack of time and help, it will be a while b4 i edit them, i need to work on zerg so..
zerg, like 5% done, their theme is fast and large number like b4, except more obiovus and more effecive. right now, the terran counters tozz, tozz counters zerg and zerg counters terran, u should be able to notice that trend when u play my mod... o and eerything has high heath and damge, so when u play it might look like it takes forver to kill a comandcenter, but not rly.
well thiis is all about the mod u should no, but i promise there will be more and more stuff aded , especially attack animation, and gameplay changes, the most important is balance, altho right now it is not balance... but it will!
plz plz plz gives comments, this is only beta release so 40% doen only! alot to come in the future, so plz be patient. i suck at drawing so might not work on graphic stuff until the basic mod is finish. hope u guys enjoy it.
