? How to make transparent color (Skinning)

Every time I try to edit a skin for a model, if that model's skin has some transparent colors (naga spines on their backs), i try to save the skin as a .gif, so that i can have the transparent color in warcraft, but every time i convert from gif to blp, it makes the transperent color in the gif to black or brown. can you help me?

Why as a gif?Why don't you save it as a tag file?

Gamer', from what I can tell upon the info' you gave the problem is with that *.gif colour palette format that distorts the colours when you're making it a *.blp. You must find a way to keep the colours the same (maybe by using another image file format for that ' translation').
