View Full Version : What's the best Xbox Live game?

I have this Gold Membership but I hardly ever play on Live, so I'm just wondering which Xbox 360 game is the most worthy to play over Live, and please don't say Gears of War-- I already sold that game.

Call of Duty 3
Great fast paced shooter with around 8 - 10 classes to play. Game types range from FFA to CTF. You can also unlock different ranks that give you achievements and such.

Thats all i can really think of, other than Gears.
actually i don't like Gears, in my opinion, that game is pretty boring online and offline

Gears of War.

Nah, if you don't have the Halo 3 beta, and you don't want to play GoW, go for Halo 2 imo.

I'm not really picky about game-type as long the gameplay is not shallow. For instance, I like BF 1942 Dessert Combat on the PC cause of all the different strategies you can use, and of course I like StarCraft, and I like sports games, and umm, my favorite shooter on Live for Xbox was the original Ghost Recon. But I don't like games where it's all about twitch reflex with little-to-no strategy, like say Unreal games.

After that, Halo 2 and GRAWs.

Uhg, I tried to play Halo 2 online the other day, but apparently I didn't have the maps that were in the playlists, so I go to download the map packs and the download freezes right in the middle of downloading that big map pack, maptacular I think is what it's called. Every time I try to download it, it freezes at like 30%

Well, personally, I'd wait for the 360 version of Half-Life 2: The Orange Box -- HL2, TF2, and Portal all lumped into one. TF2 and HL2DM is the real deal -- Check out TFC if you have a chance sometime. Also, I'm hearing reports of a CStrike: Source for 360 sometime soon. Dunno if it's real or not.
