What exactly are u asking for ideas for?
1. Mods that can be done with .dat editing alone?
2. Mods that require ICE, IceCC, and memgraft?
3. Someone to teach u how to use ICE, IceCC, and memgraft?

use icecc instead of ice. It is a lot better (also, you can lear everything from the icecc manual.pdf or something)

ICE is used to have wrong unit list (IceCC have better). You still doesn't need to care about offsets and such (just labels instead).

this is the consol application. You have to run iccui.bat.
Then you have to first decompile an iscript.bin (set the destination file where it have to do). Then you can edit the decompiled one (which has .txt format) with text editor. When you finished, you just compile it (unchekck the merge with defaoult checkbox for make it simple, and don't forget to set the destination file as iscript.bin).

As you have made it with decompile the iscript.bin to something.txt, then edited, then saved, you have to compile it (uncheck the merge with default iscript.bin). As you have this new iscript.bin file, you have to place it inside an mpq to scripts\ directory.
EDIT: if you use an old version of icecc you have to place the stuff (the exe and bat and other files) to c:\icecc\

Ummm well this is what i do.. ill click a unit.. a marine for instances click decompile and then open editor.. then ill edit it and save the iscript in my mods folder then make the changes with dat edit.. then when i go into winmpq? i do the whole arr/units.dat thing..do i import the iscript.bin?

if you chose this way, you have to check the merge with blah blah box when you compile it. And as u have the new iscript.bin you import it to an mpq (scripts\iscript.bin).

How do i import it there? so i make the mpq first then i import the iscript into the mpq? how?

I usually just make a copy of the original patch_rt.mpq, and then i modify the copy as i want. I use winmpq for that.

I dont get it? i would open winmpq and make my mpq for my mod and add the units.dat or w/e i edited in dat edit then what do i do to add my iscript for the mod so like a marine walks 2x fast or attacks randomly?

You can make a your own mpq (store all the stuff there you changed) if you use mpqdraft or memgraft or other to run you patch. If not, just make a copy from the blizz made patch_rt.mpq, and store/replace the stuff inside the patch_rt.mpq with your files.
Note: look trough all helpfiles for editors.
