How I do downgrade to a previous patch other than uninstalling SC and reinstalling it?

There is a down patch utility somewhere, but I'm not totally sure where it is or if it even exists.

SC isn't that hard to reinstall, so you might as well, I wouldn't though, the patch doesn't really affect too much in the singleplayer aspect.

Yeah, I know that there is a downgrader out there, i rememeber seeing it.
But, couldn't you delete the patch_rt.mpq and replace the files such as starcraft.exe, battle.snp and etc. with old ones from starcraft.mpq or bloodwar.mpq? I havn't tried that before, but it might work.

It would help if people actually post the program or link or etc other than saying "I'm going to look for it"

yep, but we do it anyways :P

i think you can manually install an older patch by downloading it from www.battle.net or www.blizzard.com

not sure.

Btw, you could've searched it on your own as well. Lazy ass. :P

And all of the other above options aren't doable. You can't patch an inferior version patch on top of a more recent one and with the replacing files one you'll have problems patching the game afterwards forcing you to uninstall and reinstall it back.

you know, that 7x patcher is made by rama.. and that cocky idiot makes far from GOOD launcher... they modify your starcraft files and screw up with them and might turn out not working at all soon enough.

and download the bwlauncher. right now it only works on single player tho. If I remember right it should be able to downgrade as low as 1.08 atleast.

Ahzz, go cry me a river. :rolleyes: Just gave him what he wanted.
Only used it once (at 1.12 patch times) and didn't liked it at all, so had it uninstall and never looked back to it.

Well what I did was to copy the starcraft program file folder and name it dwnStarcraft. Then delete the patch_rt.mpq
Then use one of the blizzard patches for w/e version u want. This way u can keep an up to date version for battle.net as well as a downgraded version for modding

I would upload the patching program I use but my internet is being weird tonight.
