i have modded an ol' school NES controller and made it into a 4gb flashdrive. it works just as well as the 'average joe' flash-drive but looks a hell of a lot cooler:

haha, that's pretty funny. Imagine using that in a public library or school computer lab -- it would be hilarious to watch peoples reactions as you plug in an NES controller and start copying files to it =P

Is it just me or those the two cables differ in size?

Same here, I'm kinda suspicious because it goes off the screen and all that. Still, that'd be one hell of an idea.

mmmm, yeah you're right. But it could be done -- just take the plastic casing for a controller and stick a thumb drive with an extended cable in and it's ready to go :)

aye whether tis real or fake, in actuality, its rather easy to create.
haul guts out of nes controller, put a thumb drive inside, use something to fasten it to the inside of the controller, Get a usb extender cable, and run that from the now internal thumb drive through the old cable hole, and viola, nes thumb drive.

Based on the given information regarding "hauling the guts out of the controller" we can conclude that the controller no longer functions as a controller.

well, mine was just one way its possible, I suppose you could get it to work and have a working controller, but it would be much more difficult.

yeah, you should make a usb version of a real NES controller :D
its emulator time!
Pfft, something like this?

I just prefer using PS2 controllers for all my emulators.
