Within the past few days on my family's comp, I have been getting ZoneAlarm messages saying a program called ViewMgr.exe was trying to acces the internet. Not knowing what the thing was, i denied it access and did a search through all files and folders for "ViewMgr.exe", but nothing was found. Now, the message pops up at completely random times, and to be safe, i keep denieing it.
Does anyone know what this is/does? Should I allow it to access the internet?

It's a media player program that is installed with AIM that also happens to be spyware.

GREAT ADVICE ABOUT GRANTNING PROGRAMS ACCESS TO THE INTERNET: ask yourself these questions:
1) Do I recognize this program?
2) Did I just open a program that needs the internet?
3) What did I have for breakfast?
(ok not the last one)
ANSWERS:
if you answered NO to EITHER of the first two, DO NOT grant the program internet access, rather block it forever.

You should write a book.
SVCHOST.EXE tried to access the Internet, and I didn't know what it was. I deleted it from my system.

SVCHOST.exe is a program that comes with your computer. I have no idea what it does, or what its purpose in life is. I just block it forever. (who knows, it could be some vital system process that keeps your computer from exploding!)

Svchost.exe is stans alone process name for services that run from dlls.
It checks the services portion of the registry to construct a list of services that it needs to load.
Like W32time, Themes,EventSystem...exactly what they are , i'm not sure
Edit:the file usually is in c:\windows\System32 otherwise it might be a trojan, spyware or the like

svchost.exe runs services from DLL files. Usually you have at least 3 running as SYSTEM, LOCAL SERVICE, and NETWORK SERVICE. The copy running as a NETWORK SERVICE is probably the one that you're blocking is most likely one of the few that looks for other computers on the network.
