Over the past few months i have really been playing diablo quite alot and have rarely even looked at Starcraft. Taking into consideration the fact that i pretty much sucked before and that what skills i did have are going to be pretty rusty now. What would be the best way to get back into the groove; playing campaign again or just playing on b.net and just gradually picking it up again?

well as it seems 4 me I sucked before I played the campaign(I cheated the first time through) but now after playin the campaign and perminatly giving up money maps I find that it is a lot easier to win online, what does this have to do with you , u might ask well it means finish the campaign again and DO NOT CHEAT

The campaign for original SC isn't really that difficult until perhaps the last two Protoss missions...but people online will still give you more trouble than that. I would say the campaigns can be more difficult because the AI scripts are custom made to the maps.
But if you want a real challenge, find some campaigns online with custom AI scripts. I wrote one once that started you out with a Barracks, 4 SCV, 4 Marines, a Command Center, and an Engineering Bay. Within 2 minutes a neighboring camp attacked with 6 fully upgraded marines. If you can beat through that (the attacks only got larger and faster), and then get through the Protoss I was putting in, you might compare it to a human player, only without the intelligence to change unit orders mid battle. That option itself makes a human player more deadly. Micro in battle can change the outcome in several situations, and a skilled human player will always beat the computer if the forces are equal.

Could you let us download that campaign, Modred?

I never finished it sorry. I made the base camp and the first enemy camp on the map and programmed one AI, but never got any farther. I don't even know where it is now.
However, if I can find it, I will send you the unfinished version (mod and map) for practice purposes. Who knows...I might even go back and finish it...I just need to find another copy of SC AI Edit III...

if you want you could play for a day or 2 on campaigns but when you get online just skip all money maps and play 1v1 lt noob games or 3v3 hunts then start playing better people and more maps.
alright, thanks for the advice/help.
