Game Type: Offense/Defense/Space Combat

Number of Players: 2-12

Story: Welcome to the epic space war of the Homeworld saga!

As the Hiigarans, your path to your homeworld of Hiigara has been blocked by the Imperial Taiidan Fleet. Eliminate them and embrace your destiny as you reclaim your homeworld!

As the Taiidan Empire, your sovereignty over the Galaxy is being threatened by the returning Exiles. Destroy them and your place in the Galaxy will be secure!

Description: Player 1(red) and 7(green) are motherships of their respective teams and have the ability to collect resources and build up a fleet. The rest of the team are single ships/squadrons which can either be an Interceptor, Bomber, Corvette, Frigate or a Battlecruiser. A proper description of this game concept is that it would somewhat resemble a mix of Warcraft and a space arcade game.

NOTE: Screenshots are taken from an older version of the map, where the tiles of the map have not been replaced with the current "space" tile, therefore causing the ships to look as if they were "cut" in half if their bodies extend below the ground level.

Looks really swell. :tup: Already had dl'ed even though haven't dropped msg earlier because didn't had much time to do so at that moment and above it all was very tired.

Lol. I actually didn't really intend to post much here except for my maps. I was actually "spamming" my maps all around the net(EpicWar, Hiveworkshop, TheHelper, etc). I'm waiting for this server's map section to be fixed.

Anyway, there's a new version coming up soon, with additional sounds, fixes/balancing, and weapons. Will let you know when its out.

Version update! It will be awhile till the next update...if any.

Change Log:

- Fixed platform collision movement.
- Added Turanic Raiders.
- Fixed Item slowing effect.
- Removed ship "projectile/targeting" damage.
- Added Infiltration Frigate.
- Fixed Revive Locations.

VERSION UPDATE!

Change log:

- Changed Interceptor model.
- Changed Frigate's Heavy Missile to Assault Drones.
- Modified Bomber's initial damage.
- Imported "Space" tiles.
- Changed Tactical Nuke effect model.
- Changed Lockdown to a "Stun" effect so target can be damaged.
- Changed EMP Pulse Cannon to Ion Pulse Cannon.
- Added EMP Shockwave to Bomber.

No, this map is meant for Multiplayer. You CAN test the ships, etc in single player. But to have proper fun you'll need to play it online.

Two Reasons:

1) There's no way to make AI for this, since the non-mothership players have to fly around and shoot at the same time.
2) Even if there was, i don't know how to do it.

2)Try it,I'll help you as much as I can.Btw,I can give you one of my maps with AI.

(I mean,pics looks great,so I think that it could be great if it's able to play in singlr player...)

idk... i suppose that adding in an ai wouldn't hurt...

but when it really comes down to it...
the multiplayer of the map is really where its at... :)
cuz unless you're planning on making an ai that is somewhat complex, its just a matter of the one player knowing how to counter the ai's script...

still, having an ai couldn't really hurt, i suppose, it'll help players get a better idea of how the game works...

Yeah,there are over 1000 wc players that don't play on B.net...couldn't hurt...

in the end i'd have to say that it's up to him to decide, cuz you're forgetting that there's also lots of people who play on b.net... :concern:
and extra triggers and stuff just for the ai might end up hurting the gameplay a bit if it takes too much longer to load... (some people are really impatient) :concern:

as such, i feel that you shouldn't be forcing him to make an ai :concern:
and instead point out stuff that are somewhat more vital in fixing if you find any... the ai is not an immediate priority, and can come later on...

This is right,you don't even need AI if it's played on B.net...
(i just have saw the pics and i thought he could have ai,that's all :concern:...)

well, i'm not saying that you are, i'm just saying that it seems that way because you were pushing it quite strongly and seemingly as tho its the only way to improve it... (dont go overboard with the ai, its helpful yes, but its not the only part of a map)

but yes, it is his decision (so let's just let him decide)

which btw, blacker, have you tested the map yet? (just wondering, cuz you seem to say that you based it merely on the pictures)

i've only tested it once, and not too thoroughly, but it seems good so far (perhaps when i can find some more time, i'll try and test it more thoroughly so that i can give some better feedback :)

It is Sid's fault why I'm 'possesed' with ai! :P

I know it looks like I'm pushing him,but no,as just i said,it is idea.

Oh no guys, don't get me wrong here. If it was possible and if i KNEW how to do it, I would GLADLY do it. However, you didn't seem to get my point when i said that it was impossible to do. You see, with the exception of Player 1 and Player 7(they are the mothership), you get to only control ONE class of ships. And unlike a normal strategy game, there is no "one-click" targeting system like in Dota or any other strategy game. You have to actually move and AIM while shooting. In other words, AIs need to know how to Shoot, Aim and DODGE while moving. I don't think i know how to do an AI for this. But if YOU do, please FEEL FREE to share! XD

Finally after a long period of inactivity, a new version of Homeworld has finally been released, with 5 new playable classes!

Change log:

- Added Mover class
- Added Prowler Class
- Added Star Array Class
- Added Super Acolyte Class
- Added Heavy Transport Class
- Enabled respawning of loss squadron members
- Restructuring of weapon hotkeys
- Enlarged camera view
- Removed SC sound rips
- Added stats bonus as gainable skill
- All ship classes retain previous class' exp

EDIT: Hotfix added. There were a few bugs and changes.
