As most of you know, I'm currently an exchange student living in Slovakia with an organization called Rotary. Every year they organize a trip through western Europe for all of the exchange students, and the trip this year was earlier this month. We (the exchange students in Slovakia and the Czech Republic) got to visit Paris, Versailles, Normandy, Greenwich, London, Bruges, and Brussels. The trip was by bus and took about 10 days.
I was simply amazed by the things I saw. I can honestly say that I've never seen anything as beautiful as what I saw on this trip. The architecture and history of the cities I visited is simply incredible. I've put up all of my pictures on flickr, so feel free to browse through those. Please comment here if you've been to any of these places and let me know what you think of them!

Sounds like a pretty cool trip! What city did ya like best?
I've just been to Granada, Spain. It was awesome, the AlHambra is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alhambra
If anyone is ever thinking of going on a Eurotrip, check out the Alhambra no matter what. Made more of an impression on me than the Louvre, Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame put together.

Meh. Amsterdam ain't that interesting. It's lively and all, but there are way cooler places in Europe.

^-Epic Win!
You know, I used to be scared of that thing when I was a kid... and regardless, I still managed to convince my parents to take me to the National History Museum 2 or 3 times a year. :P
Bleh, Notre Dame was covered in green mesh when I went in 94. Lucky bastard :/

I thought Paris was the most beautiful, but London had more history. We had a tour guide one day in London and she literally did not stop talking for two hours; there was something of historical mention on just about every street corner.

I loved the natural history museum, but I think the science museum was better. Maybe I'm just more interested in that though :P

I was in Europe over spring break this past semester. It was actually for a class, so we spent most of the time actually "learning" stuff, but it turned out that the graded stuff wasn't such a big deal, so I probably could have relaxed and enjoyed it some more.
We landed in Paris on a Saturday and spent two days in the area, visiting both Notre Dame de Paris and Notre Dame de Chartres on Sunday, plus a pretty crummy dinner at the Eiffel Tower. TGV to Toulouse, then bus the rest of the way to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. I've been meaning to make a thread on here about the trip, so maybe I'll get around to that soon. Hadn't thought of putting all my photos on flickr, so I may do that oo.
I didn't like Paris as much as I liked the countryside in southern France and northern Spain. We spent the night up in the Pyrenees, on the French side of the Basque Country. Nothing on the trip really compared with walking outside in the early morning to that amazing landscape, except perhaps some small mountain towns we ran once into Spain.
So much history on this trip. I could probably go on for a couple of weeks with all the things we ran into.
