If you already use Xfire, there's no reason not to join Team WarBoards :)

If you don't use Xfire, or tried it and didn't like it, you really should give it a try again. When I first tried it I didn't like it either, but they've since made a lot of improvements. It supports tons of games and has many more users than it used to. Several of my gamer friends use it and I use it all of the time now as well.

I hope that this new guild/clan feature on Xfire will be a great way for WarBoards members to easily find and battle each other in-game.

For most games, it's just a centralized buddy list you can carry over from game to game. It will scan the internet for game servers and let you join games from within its interface. Also has a nifty in-game chat that works with a good number of games (but not SC :'(), but isn't really all that rich. Xfire itself really doesn't do that much, aside from the so-so chat features and log your game time for all the world to see.

Oh, and they provide user created game lobbies now that the MSN Gaming Zone dropped the lobby system. Who wants to play MechWarrior 3!? ^_^

Because that's all I added... it made me pick specific games. I figured Blizzard games would make the most sense. But if you have a game suggestion that a lot of WarBoards members play let me know and I'll add it. :)

edit: downloaded and installed and joined... now tell me, does the chat system use the ingame chatsystem?

Uses its own. What it does, is when you recieve a message it pops it from the corner of the screen, and dissapears. You can get it to stay up with a button press and respond.

Yeah, In the summer I'm buying a new laptop, the one I'm using right now is a notebook and is crap for video games. I'll most certainly love to play with some Warboards kids.

Actually, I just have to agree with Volken, I usually play most of my games in the winter, it just seems a lot more fitting in my opinion.
