I do not post this thread for the video itself (as then it would go in the E-compendium), but rather for nostalgic effect. It was posted at Warboards two years ago. When I came across it today, it reminded me of what Warboards was like over two years ago...
Different people, different site design (LIONS), different activity, different main discussions... it felt different than it does today.
Anyone else remember?
If you had the option to move E-time back for two years, continue to live your RL normally, but be a member in WB as it was over two years ago for a week, would you give it a go?

I didn't know Warboards existed back then, but I'd really like to go back to the time when everyone thought Kong was a girl, now that would be great.

Lions design?
I though the Lions have always been the warboards logo?
I miss the old header sometimes. Not the old old header with the purple glass ball thingy and the flying Orc thingy, but the old one with the shield (also called a War Board) and the complete pictures.
I never quite understood why it kept being chopped down. Was it to avoid copyright issues? (sice WB does make some profit out of the google ads) or just because of AJ's disliking of huge bloated headers?
Oh... does anybody remember/have a pic of the old layout where the categories were made as blocks, and each forum would have a logo of its own, with the subforums stacked in a column beside it? That one was kind of nice.

What happened to the randomly generated quotes at the top of the page?
I'll admit, I miss the old WB. It is one of the reason I don't post as much anymore.

wow, it's been so long...
Back then, people were a lot nicer and the community was a lot smaller. Honestly I feel like warboards is bloated now. Huge forums are nice when you want chaos and stupidity, but I prefer order and intelligence. Oh well.
Yeah, I'd go back to the good 'ole days.

Zelt, the giant logo was removed by a majority vote. A thread pop-uped saying that thing was too big and took 1/3 of the screen, and the people agreed.
meh

Kid, you're linking me to two threads, two years apart, one of which is so old there's a post by me in it...
I demand an explanation for this faggotry.
[or why they're supposedly related :P]

I call BS on this. There have always been abrasive members that aggravate other users to varying degree in periodic fashion. By and large, I haven't seen much of a change in the way we treat one another.
As far as things being less stupid, go to page 151 of the members lounge. It's a whole page of threads that cover postings for the a small portion of June 2005. On that page, we have 2 threads from PC about herself or her life, 1 thread from Cygnus about getting his wisdom teeth out, an advert deleted by D_C, two threads about "thuh" versus "thee", a hint to look at Mars while it's close (which was, btw, in 2004, for whoever posted it this year too), and various news articles. It sounds pretty much like exactly what we have now.
All of this nostalgia going around is going to make me sick, especially when you all ruin the forum by trying to preserve that "good ol' fashioned" feeling that you're too busy reminiscing about to see it didn't die out. Either the good ol' times weren't so good, or now isn't so bad. Get over it.
EDIT: On that note, I liked the larger banner and the icons for the forums.

Ive seen that exact same post before, twice in other threads.. and each time I see the damn post I'm looking to the left at the TV. Stop fucking with me, or am I having deja vu again? Why does the same thing happen over and over again.. I wasnt looking at the tv this time, but Ive seen this post before.

Sounds like you're going crazy, BA. I'm fairly certain I've only posted that once. But I understand the feeling, as that's happened to me with several of BH's posts before.
