Ipod vid or something else???

ok I have a dilemma I've been wanting a portable video player but I am rather unimpressed with ipod vids (I would like something that holds more) so do yall know of or have anything that is better than this or am just out of luck?

I use my laptop. :D
Best thing is you can do a lot more than watch video's.
