Concerning WarBoards IRC

devcore's IRCd, which hosts our channel, seems to be down.. or has been for a while.
I'd suggest having a alternate (unofficial) channel on some other network, such as QuakeNet (reasons? well, I'm already on QuakeNet, and it got plenty of servers to connect to, there is always more than one server up). In fact, I already founded the channel on QuakeNet, so that should be suitable for our IRC needs ;)

I'm an IRC newb, how do i get it? I googled, but it had a lot of different clients, and I wasn't sure which one to go with. Could someone give me a "step by step" of sorts to connect to this Warboards IRC?
