I'm sure that no one over the age of 15 or with an IQ of over 65 (whichever comes first *obvious sarcasm*) enjoys this show seriously, or thinks it's going to be remembered in more than 10 years (and that's being generous on my part)

If you enjoy this show, post your real age here and what you like about the show.

I'm not interested in the least in "discovering" this show - I get annoyed very easily anytime any of the characters start talking or doing ANYTHING for that matter and I just want to know what anyone finds funny about mildly brain damaged food products.

Also, what is the deal with CN airing so many F'ING commercials about the movie and making fun of people who didn't give positive reviews to it?

If the show is so moot and indecent why occupy yourself with it?
Something like an annoying TV show is easily ignored. Let them air their childish commercials, I'm sure the fans of the show are having a ball.
Let teenagers enjoy their slapstick cartoons, its not hurting anyone.
I'm sure the 3 Stooges received the same sort of criticism, and while the show is a classic, can you honestly says its better in terms of quality and intellect then Aquateen?

The show is like digging for gems, in an MMO.

There's about 20 minutes worth of work, and if you're lucky you'll get a nugget.

Otherwise, you could dig for hours and and get nothing but the same stupid shit. Or, you could find two or three in a row and really have a lucky day. I don't particularly care for the show for more than 10 minutes at a time, but if I can score a gem in there I consider myself lucky. I still remember this one time where Shake was trying to weight-train for weight loss for some idiotic reason or another and Meatwad made some passing reference to bulimia. Totally unexpected and funny.

I guess that's why I watched it, I get a little sick of watching shows that I can literally predict lines. Even if it's completely stupid, it's still fresh.

I think you struck something here, reality TV, random internet culture based cartoons = unpredictable. Its something new from the standard sitcoms we're used to. Every genera of sitcom has taken episodes from a prior generations version of the show and molded it to fit their needs.
We all know the dating your friends lover and trying to hide it, the broke something expensive and lie about it, etc etc same ol same ol..
Classic example is Outer Limits & Twilight Zone, or even I love Lucy & Fresh Prince.

I'm 17 years old.

I like the show not because of the "kooky and unpredictable plot or events" but because of the voice delivery. I think everyone who watches the show can agree with me when I say that whenever Master Shake delivers a crude and unimaginably condescending and arrogant line, it's delivered with such perfect intonation and brutality that you can't help but laugh. And meatwad's innocent and indecipherable babble, bursting into some sort of aggressive threat or ultra-realism is fucking hilarious.

I may be going in a bit too deep. But I don't watch it for the randomness. It's the dialogue and how it's delivered, cause it kills me every fucking time.

I'm 17 and I love ATHF.

I agree... I like it because it is random, and although there is some dumb stuff, they do strike with quite a bit of hilarity as well.

My favorite one is the story of christmas episode with danzig and the robot ghost of christmas past from the future.

I don't even see how you can compare this to I Love Lucy - that show and those characters are tempates for everything that sitcoms have come to emulate in the past 50 years - Lucy was a true original and even though her situations have become common place doesn't mean that her original premise is any less funny in her situation - I think it would only be less funny when someone else uses it (presumably not as well)

Aqua Teen is nothing new - they just throw a bunch of random shit together and because mentioning cheese during a concert is unexpected, it's automatically funny, right?

Yeah, sometimes random is funny but look at Family Guy - they whole random "remember that time I..." thing is so stale now it's like that time I went to bite into my sandwich and found out that I had a zombie hand in it and shot the zombie, but instead of a zombie it was Bea Arthur :)

As much as I love Family Guy, they over use that random thing and I'm certain that Aqua Teen is gonna run out of steam even sooner

I think you misunderstood me. I was using I love Lucy as justification of the random factor in Aquateen.
What I meant was, sitcoms get their episode outlines from past sitcoms. I don't really feel like looking for exact examples, but a broader example I pointed out is how the show Fresh Prince had a lot of episodes that closely resembled episodes of past sitcoms, and I love Lucy was an example of this(wut 3 examples in one sentence!?).
GA fortified this with "I get a little sick of watching shows that I can literally predict lines".
I happen to agree with him that knowing whats going to happen next in a program is a buzz kill- so to speak. So I'm going to say that the randomness is a nice break for some people from the general predictability of tv & movies. Yeah its stupid, but is it as stupid as knowing how a movie/tv episode will end 5 minutes into the program?
